Out in Africa Wildlife Lodge

All meals were exceptional. Dining in an old Rovos rail eating salon is out of this world. Individual interaction with the owners/management was uplifting.

For us, nothing, exactly the breakaway that we were looking for.

The location was superb, deep in the heart of the bush. The accommodation was unique, impeccable and super stylish. Outdoor shower was an amazing experience. Food was outstanding, compliments to the chef.

A fan and a plunge pool would be a welcome addition. The ability to enjoy the delicious food and drinks on the accommodation veranda would allow guests to spend more quality time at the gorgeous accommodation in privacy.

Great hosts who took care of us so nicely. Small lodge, quiet and peaceful. Great food. Could observe cheetahs and girafe from our tent’s deck 😀 Nice ambiance inspired by the film « Out of Africa ».

If you're looking for exclusivity, tranquility, privacy, and a culinary journey in a big 5 game reserve, look no further. Monique & Ludgar are fantastic hosts and will ensure you're well looked after during your stay. The sizeable luxury tent is decorated to take you back to a different era. The bed is extremely comfortable, and who doesn't like an outdoor shower in the bush. The food was outstanding. Can highly recommend Out in Africa Wildlife lodge for anyone who is looking for a unique, private, and luxury break away to the bush.

Location is very private and intimate. Gives you that lost (in a good way) feeling. Restaurant excellent as the host is a chef. Service is high touch and top notch.

Nothing - it was great.

The hosts Monique and Ludgar were extremely gracious and friendly. The decor was superb and transported you back to the 1920s. The beds were comfortable and the setting quiet. The included breakfast was superb. The highlight was our dinner in the train restaurant with tasty European cuisine and a great wine list.

authentic African experience with traditional finishes and fittings that transport you back to a different period. The tented accommodation was tranquil and away from the restaurant and allowed for privacy. Food was excellent and the menu Country specific and authentic. The sounds of the wild and the clear starry night were amazing for a place only 80 minutes from Johannesburg

This is a truly unique experience in getting away from it all and being treated like royalty. Everything was done to make us comfortable and enhance our Safari experience - and the food ! Aaah the food is simply something special . . . .
