Idyllic Entire Chalet in Bideford Bay holiday Park near Clovelly

It was more on a level for us which was good and a good area to be, it was warm and clean

For us it would have been good to have a walk in shower, I found the duvet not comfortable on the double and not a lot of room for the table, and we were surprised about the pool! It was under the bed!

Great location. Nice and quiet, great facilities on site.

It was very lovely with a lot of space, clean and in a great location.

Not sanitary! Dog hair on bed and mould behind bed made the bedroom smell and felt damp - a hazard to sleep in, we did not stay past the first night and only stayed first night as saw this on following morning. We booked for 3 nights but it was too gross to stay there! The host seems aware of mould as they say in the winter (it's end of summer now) they experience damp so told to run tiny dehumidifiers.. well that won't remove mould, that needs chemical treatment and heat throughout cold weather regardless of guests using the accomodation. They clearly do not maintain their property. There was dog hair on the bedding and cushions as if not cleaned?! How was that missed, disgraceful. My baby had fur on her clothes and ended up in her mouth, awful! Also dog hair matted into carpet, which is too worn to hoover it up and frayed at edges. I tried using their hoover and it just pushes the fur around. All needs replacing. We asked for a crib but it was not set up, nor was there room in bedroom for it so expected to have baby sleep in living room with us trying to wind down for evening, not exactly a break for parents! I called host to ask if one of single beds could be removed (looked foldable) but she just said 'what what what?' (signal was fine) so sounded like avoiding responsibility. A chair was broken in 2 and just propped up to look whole, ridiculous. The bulb was missing from the main light in bedroom and we tried to fit one from another room and realized the fitting is just broken. The freezer door was just missing so ofc did not work and could not freeze ice packs for travelling. Also no hand soap or washing up tools. Really there were no positives and we had to leave days early to stay somewhere clean and safe, a bare minimum of safety standards.. Who rents a place in this state! Complained but yet to hear a reply from host or Booking.com ! Holiday ruined, do not recommend!

Location excellent chalet comfortable and clean

A door on the freezer compartment of the fridge would have been good whole space totally frozen up. Broken bedside light in drawer and no main light working in second bedroom.
