Shepherds Hut in countryside near Bath and Bristol

Location was spectacular and the views were incredible. Information provided was clear and detailed. The accommodation was beautiful and had everything you would need for a tranquil getaway.

It was beautifully decorated and had everything you needed in the tiny kitchen, even butter. Lovely location. Peaceful and quiet. Would have been good with a roof over the veranda so we could sit there when it rained but apart from that it was perfect.

No roof on the veranda so we couldn’t sit in the rain and hot in the afternoon sun. Otherwise perfect.

The property was small but it had the perfect size for a weekend getaway for 2 people. The shower is wide so it didn’t feel cramped and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Nothing we disliked. Just need to come with a car as it’s not a central location but that’s what also makes the property a lovely retreat.

Great design, very comfortable, very well equipped, beautiful location, very helpful hosts.

Can't fault this place. Duncan and Helen (hosts) have thought of everything. From additional touches like honey and jams, to placing the firepit where you can watch the glorious sunset ... host very friendly and always at the end of the phone if needed. Couldn't be more helpful. Really hope we get the opportunity to visit again soon.

Our stay was amazing, the shepherds hut was perfect, everything you need and more. Very spacious and well thought through. The grounds are absolutely stunning, and surrounded by the beautiful sound of birds, with bunny’s hopping across the fields and a daily visit of a couple of pheasants at sunset. The perfect place to rewind and relax. The location was great, close proximity to bath and Bristol. We did the Bath/ Bristol cycle path which was a lovely day out. Duncan was very accommodating. He went above and beyond with suggestions for walking and cycle routes & dinner recommendations. All round just a lovely guy. Couldn’t fault our stay, thank you so much.

Stayed in the shepherd's hut for 2 nights with my boyfriend. We had the best time. Duncan was very kind and thoughtful making our stay more enjoyable. The hut itself is very spacious and well equipped. It is located at the end of the garden but it is extremely private. We were able to see bunnies, pheasants, and even a deer in the field behind! Easy drive to both bath and Bristol. There are some shops about a 10 minute drive away and some lovely walks.
