A few things customer service needs work. I contacted a day after checkin about checking out early. I wanted to see if I could get a partial refund/credit due to a storm and our flight changing, they advised me to contact booking, knowing they were wasting my time. Instead of being honest up front and saying sorry we can’t do that (which would’ve been fine with me) they had me contact booking for a refund. Contacted booking about the refund the same day, they responded 24 hours later and said they couldn’t get in contact with the host advised me to reach out they approved the refund. Now remember the host knew the day and time we were leaving when I originally contacted them. I called (no answer) left a voicemail and then I messaged on the chat. I got la message from them advising me to leave the faucets drip to avoid pipes freezing (I checked out several hours before the message). I replied with did you see my message above and received a reply that made no sense. Due to staff scheduling they can’t approve my request. Once I enquired with them about the refund that booking approved they said they couldn’t refund first blamed it on me saying I didn’t contact booking, which I did I have proof, then once I told them that the said it was bookings fault. Saying booking never got in touch with them. So they schedule staff to clean a room they would have to clean regardless of what day we left. Entire experience left a bad impression just not the right way to do business Customer service needs a lot of work. If they would’ve been upfront and said sorry we can’t do that we could’ve avoided this. I could’ve done without the Excessive automatic messages informing me of checkout time daily.
