2BR Bungalow with Parking - Sunbeam Haven

The bathroom was nice.

This place is dirty. The floor is dirty, the walls are dirty, the furniture is dirty, the curtains are dirty. The kitchen is dirty, the oven is dirty. The microwave doesn't work. The electric sockets in the bedrooms don't work. The kettle is seriously furred up. The glass in the front door is broken. On arrival, we only had one towel between us, but after requesting another one was delivered. We paid £130+ for one night and that was £120 too much. Avoid!!

Glass pain on the front door was smashed Window blinds had blinds missing at front door Sofas cushions was very flat which was hard to get up Dining table was very wobbly and made of glass so we kept away from it No tea towel so could not wipe dishes Couldn’t open wardrobe door as it was off the rail

Bed was a little small for a taller person

The location was convenient for us. The owner was very efficient in communication. The house was warm and spacious. The beds and bedding was comfortable.

We felt it was missing care and love. Lots of things were broken - the shower door (fell on me when I was giving my little daughter a shower), the shower hose, the freezer door. And various little things around the house. The kitchen was poorly equipped and the house wasn’t clean to a standard we are comfortable with. The toilet seat is very close to the radiator and we constantly kept burning our legs and hands on it. Eventually we wrapped a towel around to protect ourselves.

Location was good.

No privacy, found used male underwear behind the bathroom door and other peoples toiletries in bathroom. Was half eaten dish of Macaroni cheese left in the Microwave, had to wash oven tray and crockery before use as had old food on. Had stairs leading to an upstairs room (not mentioned in description of property) full of dirty, stained mattresses and broken furniture, Cobwebs on stairs(large ones) Bathroom in desperate need of refurbishment, shower and walls/Ceiling dirty & stained. Bed mattresses very soiled, pillows with stuffing coming out, no mattress or pillow protectors used. Property was unlocked on arrival, no interaction with hosts at all. Absolutely disgusted with whole stay, especially for the price. Plenty of photo evidence re all the above which I will email to Booking.com.

The property is very spacious and could be event better with a few tweeks

There are alot of repairs needed, hanging lights, oven door does not close, extractor fan leaks into the room. The sofa leans forward because its broken. Ironing board was filthy. The large glass table feels like its going to break any second. Someone has wired the boiler into a 3 pin plug (against building code). Two tiny towels provided that were pretty terrible. And the have used a room upstairs to hide junk. The property has great potential, do the room upstairs, fix the fixtures and fittings. The sofa will drive people mad. And some better towels will be great. Also curtains over the main patio door would be advisable
