Heather Mere Cottage, Bowness-on-Windermere

The cottage is beautifully decorated and so clean with a great kitchen and laundry facilities. The location is ideal, being a 3 min walk to the shops, restaurants and lake. Parking was a little tricky at first but Claire gave us clear instructions and after we found it was really convenient and free! We loved our stay in this beautiful place and would definitely recommend.

We couldn’t park in front but we were given a dedicated free spot around the corner, which was better than most places we’ve stayed at here in the UK.

The cleanliness, the whole place was immaculate with top of the range amenities. The location was great, in real close walking distance to everything.

Could do with more crockery etc so some can be in dishwasher while you use another set Otherwise not much point in having a dishwasher twin beds rather narrow

The apartment was beautiful, clean and well located

Parking is extremely difficult in Windermere. Claire offered parking near by which is a life saver.

The cottage was beautiful and clean with everything you needed and more , it was just perfect. The location was perfect , situated in the heart of it all we stayed for 4 nights and only ventured out once in the car to Grasmere and Keswick. Parking was a bonus as the owner gave us access to a car park which was no more than a 60sec walk away to where the cottage was situated. Claire was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble she was on hand constantly if needed. Our daughter absolutely loved the tv in the bathroom I think she spent most of her evenings in the bath she loved it. So much so she wants to return in July for her birthday. The dog treats and stuff was also a great little addition so again thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home.

Location excellent and central to Bowness. Very clean and property had everything you could wish for. Bed very comfortable. Quiet location with on street parking using a permit that you place on your dash. I think it is probably the best place we have ever stayed in Bowness and we have been many times. Very good communication from the host Claire. I would highly recommend this property; you will not regret it.
