Heather Mere Cottage, Bowness-on-Windermere

This property was exceptional, with the large private front garden .The back garden has access via a small road to the main bonness hill with pubs, restaurants, shops, and the shoreline a very short walk away. The cottage was very clean and modern throughout, and everything needed for a comfortable stay with some loverly unexpected extras. The host sent us clear instructions on where to park and how to access the property and supplied a parking permit for the duration of or stay. What a fantastic place for a relaxed break we can not recommend any higher than a 10/10 Thanks, Claire. Your efforts in customer care/services are much appreciated 👍

The cottage had every luxury and had been modernised and styled to a very high standard. It was very close to the main street with shops, cafes, restaurants and the lake very close by The host was very responive to feedback

The parking was not what I expected. The website said 1 parking space when in fact it was 1 permit for on street zoned parking. There was no guarantee of a space on the street and I got the last space. During my stay there were rarely any spaces on the street and so I did not move my car during my stay. Also there was nowhere to turn the car and so drivers had to reverse down the street to get out. Subsequently when I fed this back to the host she said that she could have found me parking on one of her other properties if there had been no spaces. However this had not been mentioned in the pre arrival information or in the information booklet in the house. Hopefully this will be mentioned to guests in the future.

Everything about this stay was perfect for our family. The accommodation was in a fantastic location in the town, with parking included. The host was extraordinarily helpful and kind, and the home had so many beautiful details in every room that truly made our stay. We all really looked forward to coming back to the house in the evening, a testament to the cosy, spacious nature of the space. Overall, this house was the perfect base for our trip and we could not recommend it more highly!

This lovely cottage couldn’t be more perfect. It is centrally located in the heart of the Lake District with hiking, biking, dining and shopping just out the door. The cottage is stunning and just as beautiful as in the pictures. Everything a guest needs is provided in the house. The only thing that could top this is the personal attention and quick responses from the host.

Beautiful accommodation, very central to Bowness and an easy walk to the Lake. The house was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Very well equipped - the owner has thought of everything possible. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Parking! Our sat nav took us to the wrong side of the road so we ended up in a very narrow lane with a bollard in front - a nightmare to reverse back! The owner kindly gave us directions to her other apartment nearby though, where we were able to park onsite.
