Dimora di Ulisse Sea View Holiday Apartment

It was very spacious and the location was good.

The water pressure in the shower was very low and the water was cold. Not easy to have a shower. There was a lot of noise from the road below and loud music in the evening’s .

Location! Location! Location! Also, great bed.

The location is superb! There’s wash machine and a simple kitchen in it which is convenient. The fridge, the bathroom and the sleeping room were very clean. The Appt. is very nicely furnished with a super sea view.

The location can’t be better for sightseeing. But there’s a night club downstairs that is extremely loud daily from 23 to 3 o’clock. I managed to sleep but always woke up due to the noise. My husband couldn’t sleep at all and was very upset that the holiday was ruined for him for 4 days. We really understand that the host has done everything for this problem though he couldn’t change the situation. The kitchen is well equipped but not very clean. We had a baby travelled with us. The water cook was oily and the kettle was rusted inside. But lucky there’s a good microwave. The baby always opened the drobes which sent out molded smell. The floor in the living room was not clean. The baby crawled after we arrived and got dusty all over. The shower water is too weak for normal showers. On the whole, the noise during night is problematic. And due to the baby we are picky on the cleanness. But the appt. is still very good and nice and the host is very friendly.

The apartment itself was quite nice and had everything you may need for a pleasant stay

We started off by arriving at the apartment at 4pm and having to wait over 30 minutes outside the apartment before anyone responded to us or was able to let us in. We then didn’t have hot water for 2 days and this was only fixed due to myself fixing via the boiler. The music in the evenings are so loud it feels like your trying to sleep on a nightclub, this also goes on until 2/3am. On booking.com it said that there is daily housekeeping when I asked what time we could expect the apartment to be tidied up I was told this only actually happens every 3 days? All the reviews below said about Salvo and his great service however we never met him or received anything breakfast wise. We had ground coffee to make our own but no milk and water so we had to buy this ourselves.

if you are traveling with a car you cannot enter and stop with luggages in front of your apartment, we had to pay 35euro every night for parking and when booking the apartment it said it was free parking. if a remote would have been provided to enter with the car it would have been fantastic to at least just drop off our stuff. as we were with a child and i was traveling for work and had quite heavy bags to car for walking up a hill with so much stuff.

We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Dimora di Ulisse apartment. To begin with, the central location of the apartment so close to the Duomo was incredible. We were able to slip back so easily if we wanted a rest from sightseeing. The ease of access (no stairs) but having a million dollar view over the water couldn’t be better. We loved having breakfast in the Duomo square every morning and watching Ortigia slowly come to life. The bottle of wine given to us to enjoy as we watched the sunset was appreciated. Definitely stay here if you get the chance.

Oh my goodness, the location cannot be beat! You are steps away from the Duomo square with a beautiful view of the harbor and mountainside. Having two bathrooms was a bonus to the one bedroom apartment. We did not cook during our one night stay, but the kitchen was well appointed with everything. Our host was accessible if we had any restaurant or sightseeing questions throughout the entire time of our stay. Definitely a find in Ortegia!

It has great location just next to piazza duomo.
