Lovely area, comfy beds

Very dark inside, needs a floor lamp in the living room, shame the walls are not white, lots of dark colours. Crockery was stored in cupboard very high up in kitchen. Needed to stand on chair to reach and the general supplies in the kitchen are random and very minimal. Sofa beds are extremely hard, not suitable for sleeping on. Oven needs a clean urgently. Managed to get the shower to work but couldn't get the temperature right, was very hot, too.hot to use. Overall, we were quite disappointed unfortunately and left a day early. With some tweaks, this could be much better.

Beautiful location a couple of minutes walk into Great Salkeld. Lovely garden at front with table and 4 chairs. Comfy beds Tassimo coffee machine was a bonus. Good parking facilities at the property

Strong musty smell in the property air fresheners had ran out so bought our own to minimise the smell. Minor things - Could do with a baking tray and large Pyrex dish also the frying pan was small if trying to cook for 6.

The location and the village are great. The facilities were good.

There were a couple of small things including the oven dial markings can no longer be read making use of the oven a bit tricky and the floor in the corridor is lifting up and is quite noisy when walked over.

Lovely setting, comfortable property.

juggling cars daily, could use designated parking bays per cottage, I was blocked in a couple of times by others taking up more than one space. Drains in sink and showers were clogged with hair so very slow to drain.

The cottages were in a great location, quite secluded, next to a cute pub with good food and lots of fun stuff to do in the area

We booked for 10 people but were given towels and bed space for 7 people. There's space to sleep up to 4 more on sofa beds, but the sofa beds were not the most comfortable, covered in dog hair, and we were not given sheets or duvets for them. No towels either. Eventually, after letting the nice chap sent by the cottage management look in all the cupboards, we convinced them that we had no sheets. They found us sheets, pillows and towels for the people on the sofa beds, but no duvets for two of them. Blankets are fine in warmer weather but disappointed to have to spend my arrival evening looking for bedclothes, when we had booked for the correct amount of people. We had actually sent them a message ahead of time asking if we would be provided bedsheets and they said yes.

Location was excellent - so quiet and a lovely night sky. The cottage had all you could need. Great value for money.

There was a musty smell inside the cottage.
