The Writer's Retreat Ground Floor Apartment

Great location, parking a real plus! Hot tub fabulous! Lovely property. Our host was there just after we arrived to greet us, talk through the hot tub operational instructions and give us an overview of the rich history of the house and its occupants! Such a lovely touch. Very comfy beds, lovely big spacious rooms. gorgeous four poster. Well equipped kitchen. Nothing not to like!! If I had to be really picky - the shower room downstairs was not quite as stunning as the rest of the property - but it is in no way more than a 'it would be great to have'!! Thank you for letting us stay in this gorgeous house. Would recommend and look forward to staying again!!

Writer's Retreat is a grand but very comfortable apartment and its only a very short walk from the centre of Holt.

Lovely character property. Super hot tub and garden. Lovely big bedrooms overlooking the garden. Kitchen had everything you needed. With Budgens nice and close it was easy to get groceries and Also close by for restaurants etc.

Brilliant directions, instructions and overall communications from the owner. A perfect base for a day at the coast and a day in Norwich. The house itself is amazing. Wonderful kitchen, comfy bed, the space - lots of it and the grounds. Brilliant hot tub too but a storm put a stop to us actually braving out of doors.

Nothing to dislike except the October weather, a storm blew in whilst we were there.

Lots of space to spread out, lovely garden area for our 2 little dogs to run around. The hot tub was a great place to relax after long coastal walks, as was the fabulous Komando bbq.

Unfortunately, the toilet/shower room has to be accessed via walking through the hallway and kitchen, not great in the middle of the night when needs must!

The apartment was beautifully decorated and furnished with antiques. It was well equipped including items such as glassware in varying degrees. It's location in Holt was excellent with a large supermarket next door. The Lawns has plenty of available parking. With better weather we'd have made more use of the six person hot tub, garden and bbq, and visited more of the local area. Sadly it rained for most of our trip.

Beautiful furnishings. Loved the hot tub. The kitchen was well done kitted out.

The writers retreat was perfectly positioned for our stay. We could walk into town to shop and eat/ drink. It was also close enough to lots of North Norfolk attractions. It has a grand yet cosy feel and the garden is huge yet secluded. Sitting out you wouldn’t know you’re so close to town. The hot tub is an added bonus. Our girls loved the trampoline and large garden plus the added bonus of toys and games. The large off road parking is great and the hosts were helpful and welcoming.
