CENTRAL STATION APARTMENTS - Fanale Rentals

I stayed as a family with 3 teenage children. The accommodation was very central, eqipped and clean. The communication from the host was fantastic and responses were very quick. Useful information for areas to visit, restaurants and stores were supplied and secure car parking was arranged for me too (at a small charge). Nothing seemed too much trouble. I would recommend this location for a visit to Palermo..

The apartament is big, it has a coffee machine, a balcony with a nice view over a neighborhood in Palermo and it's pretty close to Palermo's historical center. We also had a private parking nearby, with 10euros a day and we advice you not to leave your car on streets in Sicily because it will definitely be robbed or stolen. The block of flats is newly built and this was nice as well.

The apartament could have been a bit more cleaner. It was a bit dusty, especially the floors and the bathroom (sink, shower), mirror in the hall could have been much more cleaner. The apartment is also a bit rusty - the shower cabin seems old and heavily used and it floods whenever you take a shower. Same goes for the sink, the drain did not work well and it was flooded everytime. We did not have liquid soap at all, we have to buy it ourselves, same for toilet paper (we had a few rolls, I think 2-3 for a 4 nights stay - 2 persons). We know it's not a hotel and we did not expect to have shower gels or shampoos, but at least if they have a liquid soap dispenser - I would expect it not being empty. The furniture is a bit old, vintage like, I know this probably was probably the owner's desired look and feel for the apartment. However, especially for the closet, it smells old, the drawers do not open easily etc. What bothered us the most, I think, was that the checkout was at 10AM and we had a late in the evening flight back home, outside being extremely hot (38-40 degrees Celsius). We did not even ask for them to let us stay longer in the apartament, but because Palermo is very famous for theft and robbery, we kindly asked them if we could leave the luggage there instead until later in the afternoon. Their response was yes, but they had to charge us 30euros just for leaving the luggage in the empty apartament until 2PM and we did not think it being necessary. Eventually, we only payed 27euros instead of the 30, because the host reminded us that we also have to pay the city tax, in cash and did not accept any other form of payment (Revolut, bank transfer) for the city tax and luggage host tax and we were out of cash - so thanks for agreeing for us to pay 3euros less :).

location good as near to train bus station, but apartment no Wi-Fi , shower water are low , only one Aircond in unit which in wrong location as room n living hall can’t feel the cool air . staff are helpful

The host is amazing. Really good guy! I see why he’s a super host! I locked myself out and he came after work to let me back in the apartment. That meant a lot to me! The apartment is very close to the train/bus station, the beach is not too far! everything about my experience was dope! 10/10 recommend

the area is not that nice (but is walking distance to main attractions), the walls were a bit thin so sometimes could hear noise from floor above

The apartment was very nice for a family with 2 kids, spacious, kitchen with fridge, good location (walking distance to major attractions). A bakery is just across the street. Parking onsite was very useful for managing luggage. Overall, it was a great choice !

Central location. Beautiful shared rooftop terrace with great views. Good beds.

This place has the ideal location for visiting Palermo. Just 2 minutes from train station, with kitchen living dining room and bedroom and bath plush washer with drunk rack. You can easily walk to 4 corners, botanical garden, cathedral, waterfront , and theatro massimo. There’s a shop very close for coffee and pastries for breakfast. Trattoria Trapani Restaurant nearby is great.
