Amalfi Rooms & Suite Duoglio Beach - seaview

Beautiful room and gorgeous view.

What they don’t mention in the listing is how far away it is from the port, and how difficult it is to get there. There is only one window—the door, as the view. There is no kitchen, though mentioning it as a “residence” not a hotel. Owner was kind but felt a little catfished by this booking.

The view is beautiful, but that's how all of Amalfi is.

The transportation is problematic; staying in the center would have been a better idea. We can't say the cleanliness was bad, but there were insects. Out of the three of us, two couldn't use the hot water in the shower. Towels weren't changed every day. But most importantly, the attitude was very poor. We, three girls on vacation, were told in the information we received that we could leave our luggage before check-in. So, we left for Amalfi early in the morning based on this. When I asked the person who contacted us, we received a rude message saying that we couldn't pressure them and that since this is a GUEST HOUSE, we should respect people's schedules. It's as if we shouldn’t have paid a month in advance for the service but should have been trying to please them instead. It ruined our whole day. If the communication had been polite, it wouldn’t have been an issue. Not being able to leave our luggage wasn’t a problem, but the attitude was completely wrong. It was never worth the money. Arrogant and rude behavior. The right place for the worst experience.

Very clean, very nice, good view , staff was friendly to a certain point.

Too much noise from honking by buses and cars from early mornings wouldn’t let u sleep, far from city center but not that far. We mainly had issue with hot water which was limited in the city use apparently , asked the management , she’s like wait 15 min while my fiancé was covered in soap, very very upset about that, contacted CS, they didn’t do anything about it.

Nice newly renovated house with nice view. We overlook on the number of guest and Michela quickly resolve it, and very prompt of replying and giving clear instructions. Antonia was also nice and friendly.

It’s near the road, abit noisy but is convenient.

The accommodation was clean and the ocean view is breathtaking. We totally loved it

It is 15 minutes away from Amalfy.

Pros The room is in a very panoramic location, it has just been renovated with an integrated bathtub and furnished in a romantic theme. The garage right below the house at 25 euros per day is very convenient compared to parking in the historic center, which costs eight euros per hour; a day of parking there would have been really expensive. It's better to park the car and get around with the three bus lines that stop right outside. The Duoglio beach is easily reachable on foot and visible from the window. We appreciated the free transportation service offered by a local restaurant, where we ate excellently at an average price.

The room is a bit noisy in the morning, but it's better to be close to the street and climb just a few stairs to reach it, rather than face hundreds of steps typical of the Amalfi Coast, where the villages extend vertically upwards; it often happens that you have to climb up to 300 steps with luggage, as it happened to some friends of ours.
