1 Bedroom Accommodation with Ensuite

The location. Beautiful old building (although repairs needed). Was happy with the staff understanding I brought my boyfriend at the last minute, and was happy to pay extra, he transferred £15 extra for him. Just like the add prices.

Misleading photograph on the add, as the front building was different and now I understand why there was no photo of the inside, as everything was falling apart. Nothing was clean. Toilet was used and I flushed when arrived. Sink had plug in, full of dirty water. Only 1 toilet roll and the towel was scrunched on an old sofa. Unsure if the bedding is even washed. Another bed was left in from a previous family member. The bleach/chemicals were left out which is a violation of COSH regulations. There was no heating, even though this was advertised. The radiator wasn't on and the knob was broken so you couldn't turn the heating up or down. I woke up the next day (even though we barely slept with the cold and people go up and down the creaky stairs all night)... With a cold! I was sneezing and coughing and shivering. I have never in my life left a booking.com accomodation being ill and worse for ware. Our conference was ruined the next day, as I was just so ill. I am still recovering! I have attached pictures to show. My recommendation is that they invest into this property and make it more inviting, warm and comfortable for people instead of just what it appears, renting spare unused rooms out.

Nothing more than a kettle in the room but it suited my purpose.

Unfortunately the shower was cold and I couldn't locate anyone to ask about it. The decor was poor but I understand it is going to be updated soon.

no heating, large room which was freezing. tired room in need of TLC - no sleep! uncomfortable stay & would not stay again

The Hall is situated in an idyllic Village in Shakespeare country. Its a 360 year old work in progress. as any Grade 2 listed building that hasn't had love and care over its previous owners would be. Harminder is doing an amazing job renovating and restoring the building. its amazing inside. large staircase, amazing oak carvings from the former theatre royal in Birmingham. Looking forward to seeing its progression and build over the next coming years. the Hall was Warm and welcoming. Harminder and his wife are excellent hosts. also Max is Great.. loved shutting the shutters on the old windows and then the curtains. its an amazing place.

bit harsh to say things i didn't like about a place that's in the middle of a complex restoration. seeing things at their beginning is a joy. there was the odd niggles. a wood-screw under the lino in the bathroom i found at 3am. lack of a mug for making a brew first thing. (tbh i didn't check all the cupboards.) but these are minor things and didn't detract from the wonderful sleep i had. like a log..

We were made to feel very comfortable and welcomed.it was a stunning building and the location was perfect.The owners were lovely people and we will be going back again.
