Blackpool Abode - Polaris Apartments

Location, peace of mind. Quiet area. Good value for money if you are on a budget. No frills.

The only apartment available was on the top floor, climbing 4 flights of stairs with children each day. Laundry facilities on ground level.

The futon bed was extremely uncomfortable and hard

Poor experience here, heating system wouldn't turn off and it was constantly hot, even with the windows open. broken shower rail USED toilet, had to clean it myself. mold on most walls and crumbling onto the bed. Someone tried to enter the apartment we stayed in and when asked to check the CCTV, they said it’s the maintenance. we were left feeling unsafe. Lock safe was also messed with. the code was changed but did not inform us until we contacted them. Stains all over the bed and pull out bed. The only nice thing was the kitchen and it still have brick dust and mold. Window hinge broken.

Owner was very helpful in accommodating us. Spacious apartment we had the 1 bedroom apartment ground floor. We have actually extended our stay.

The music is very loud however it can't be helped when the road is full of bars/hotels. You can see that when you book it so not really a complaint.. My two children dealt with it fine.

Apartments suited for group stays, central in the gay quarter to easily return back after an evening and close enough to the pier for a leisurely jaunt, I'd argue that it would be even more appealing for longer stays than a weekend due to the amenities available. The handbook left was really useful including the extra key fob as it allowed us to split up during the day as a group.

Info on how the heating is controlled could be included in the handbook as the apartment was faintly chilly in the middle of the day, else all other times the apartment was warm.

The apartment is very spacious and clean. Modern. Has everything you need.

There was nothing to dislike. Extremely comfortable.

The futon bed was utterly disgusting, the mattress was covered in (what looked like semen stains) called the owner to have an alternative mattress or extra quilt to put over the mattress but was told there was nothing she could do as she had no extras to give me. I was also promised a call next day to arrange a part refund but never received a call. I messaged them and yet again was promised it would be sorted out. Still no correspondence!!
