Cosy Loft Apartment in Georgian Home

Great location for my event and uses street parking, which I had no trouble finding a space on an evening. The building is beautiful with my room being right at the top of the house - lots of stairs & low ceiling. The host was friendly and approachable. The self contained 'flat' was ideal for self catering (microwave, fridge & kettle). The small dining table was great for my work space and meal space. All used plates, cutlery etc was to be placed in a plastic box for the host to collect for the dishwasher which was in the kitchen downstairs. Recycling your packaging etc was encouraged too. The bathroom was clean and functional. The bed was comfortable and had extra blankets available if needed. The heating was timed for morning and night sessions - these were ideal as I was not in during the day time. Wifi - free - was available & only dropped out a couple if times. The TV had streamed content available.

There are alot of steps up to the 'flat' but I was comfortable with the journey up to the loft space.

The apartment had all that I needed it to have: comfortable bed, decent shower, basic food preparation facilities, ample crockery and cutlery, small fridge / freezer., space to sit, a table to eat at or work on. It was very quiet; almost silent. The central-heating worked and there was an extra electrical radiator, if necessary. As a functioning space it reminded me of the bedsits I encountered long-ago. Luis, the host, was friendly and helpful and greeted me in-person when I arrived. It was possible to work within the apartment. Parking is on-street and although this gave the sense of the car being far from the house, in reality, the car was much closer to the front-door than it would be at most hotels or guest-houses. There is a small grocery store about two or three minutes walk away, and that contains the foods and other items that would be sensible for the traveller's situation.

There was nothing that I disliked; the apartment met my expectations and I'd be happy to stay here again should the need arise. I think the apartment would be a good choice for people visiting friends in the area, or who are travelling for work and needing to be able to work in their accommodation. As per its description, the apartment is in a converted loft; it is accessed via two flights of steep and narrow stairs, so not ideal for anybody with mobility problems.

Luis was very welcoming. A beautiful house and the apartment had it all. We loved the place.

The location is very good, close to amenities. Very clean and tidy. Host very welcoming and friendly.

A lovely self contained studio, everything you need for a short stay

The apartment is in Stoke Village which has a nice little shopping street. At the end of the road is a park with good views all around, and the street itself is leafy with some very nice buildings. The apartment is very well laid out and everything has been thought of. The hosts were attentive and friendly, and kindly let me drop off my luggage before the official check in time. I arrived in Plymouth by train, then took the number 33 bus from the train station to Stoke Village.
