Seashell Guesthouse, bar and tattoos

This guesthouse just opened recently and is run by a young couple that decided to move to this island. They are lovely, laid back and helpful. The girl is a very talented tattoo artist! It's just by the beach so you wake up to the sight of the ocean.

I came to Seashell with two nights booked and ended up volunteering and staying for over a month. The hostel is in the perfect location, right on the beachfront and has a balcony with the best views. The owners Mads and Mathilde will make you feel welcome as soon as you step into the property and throughout your whole stay. I can’t recommend the hostel more to stay at during your time on the island!

If you go to Koh Rong Samloen, stay at seashell! The owners are both so friendly and welcoming. Even if you forget something they will do their absolute best to bring it back to you ;). The location (M'pai bay) is lovely, lots of good food, snorkel facilities, locals living their life, everyone just chilling and very confortable bean bags ;).

Amazing location, right near the restaurants and on the beach. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Three of us got amazing tattoos and couldn’t be happier.

Mads and Mathilda are amazing people who put in a lot of work to run their cute guesthouse. I extended well beyond what I originally intended to because of the chill vibe at Seashell. It features beautiful beachfront views with a cozy common area and bar. Snorkel masks are provided for free if that's your thing. Both Mads and Mathilda are very knowledgeable about things to do on the island and the people who live alongside them as well. Keep in mind that MPai Bay is a remote village on Koh Rong Sanloem so expect occasional power outages (electricity seemed more constant near the end of my stay) and no Wi-Fi.

I loved the hosts Mas & Mathilde so much. Such a beautiful couple, couldn’t have made me feel more welcome. The hostel is right on the beach front, such a lovely village, with all amenities needed.

Everything about the stay was perfect

This stay became memorable to me because of the people that run this place. A young couple that made me feel very welcome and are very kind. Their energy is catching, which makes this a place that is filled with friendly and open people. This is the best place where you can be at ease and enjoy the Island.

It was a perfect stay ! The owners were really nice, available, gave us advice on things to see around ! We had a room at the last floor, view was amazing ! Thanks Mads for the welcoming ! I recommend
