It was the only thing available, all of Dunedin was booked out

Apartment C had to go through the shared kitchen to the bathroom, which was also the shared laundry for all apartments. Not the best set up. No hand towel in the bathroom to dry your hands No face cloths No bath mat Pillows were rock hard Bedroom could do with a mirror in it Check in before 3pm would be better Were there for an event, accommodation was in short supply, this was all we could get ... you get what you pay for!

"A clean and comfortable Apartment close to the attractions at the Southern end of Dunedin"

8.0

The layout of the rooms and the privacy afforded to the Apartment I was allocated was very good, but I need to qualify that by advising that during my stay there was no interaction with other guests in the common areas of the building. There is a large, very well equipped kitchen that contains a dining table and chairs, available for guests. There is an outdoor area accessible off of that kitchen/Dining Room where guests can sit outside (on a sofa) if the weather was suitable in the evening (of the guests stay).

The concept of guests HAVING to have access to their email account on the day of arrival so that the hosts can send them the keycode for the apartment building's front door is no longer novel, in fact it is sadly commonplace. The problem arises when circumstances arise whereby the guest is not able to access their email account on the day of arrival. The hosts have built no redundancy into their system... they haven't even (at that stage) provided the arriving guest with their telephone number (in Sydney). It's a potential problem and the hosts should develop a better system that allows guests to make personal contact in the event that any number of electronic issues arise. A (Smart) television set that will not play Free to Air NZ programs. The kitchen, while generally well-appointed and set up to facilitate the cooking of full meals lacks many of the smaller tools/utensils that allow a guest to do that. The hosts should perform a review of what's there and supply the necessary items into the kitchen.

The location was great, easy to get into town with free parking outside. The property was quiet and clean - and access was easy.

Listing the room as an 'apartment' is a bit misleading - it is a lockable room in a shared house. When we booked it was advertised as having a private kitchen and an en suite. The kitchen was shared with two other rooms - and the bathroom (although private) could only be accessed by passing through the shared kitchen. I can see that the listing has since been updated.
