Beautiful views of the water in a rural setting, close to many historic sights on the island. Comfortable, quiet and private. The pods are small but comfortable, and the style was accurately described in the listing. The owners were quick to respond and left an excellent information package about the area and the pods. Simple check in and clear leaving info. Appreciated the driving instructions given, as Google and GPS will often lead to routes that take long trips down single track roads.

Only thing I would improve is the quality of the mattress, we found it quite thin and perhaps could use replacement or a supplemental foam support. Very little else to dislike, as the listing was very honest and accurate.

Lilly’s Lodges was the perfect location for our adventures in Orkney. The lodge had everything you could need and was in a beautiful location. The owners were super friendly and helpful and I could not recommend highly enough.

Limited services (2 tea bags) no wifi and a list full of requirements.

The location is excellent and the hut well equipped. Was very useful having an oven, however (as well as hob and microwave).

The layout of the hut wasn't as accessible/well thought through as previous similar huts we have stayed in. Having the bathroom door opening directly into the kitchen area/backing onto a kitchen cupboard was not ideal. There was no draining board which was awkward for washing up. Would have been useful to have a clothes line outside or somewhere for drying towels.
