Lilly's Lodges Orkney Hedgehog Lodge

The lodge had everything we needed for our short self catering stay in Orkney. Very quiet with great views.

All the potential additional costs ( for not washing dishes/ not stripping bed etc) were an unnecessary distraction. This could be communicated more positively.

A lovely, well furnished lodge with everything that you can want. Lovely views in the centre of the island that makes driving to all of the fantastic archaeology easy. Great fauna and wildlife, what's not to like!

A gas bbq on the veranda may be of benefit?

Location, was very peaceful with beautiful views. Was ideally situated to explore the island, being about half way between Stromness and Kirkwall. Had everything that we needed for our stay. Comfy beds.

Can’t think of any negatives.

Lovely pods. Quite compact for two parents and a child, but it had everything you needed in it. Location was quite hidden away but at the same time very central and easy to get to Kirkwall and Stromness. Our host was also very helpful when we thought our ferry off the island was going to be cancelled (it wasn't in the end...)

When the sofa bed was folded out there was not a lot of space for the three of us and our luggage, but to be fair we knew that would be the case, and the pods have been well laid out to make the most of the available space.

Easy access, warm,comfortable and very clean. Great views. Peaceful location and not overlooked by the other lodges.
