Upperton Road Apartments in Leicester

Perfect little studio flat. Everything worked very well, clean and quiet. Has it's own little gym (basic but works) is above an Aldi and opposite a starbucks. Tesco close by too and on the main bus routes to town. Has secure bicycle parking indoors in the building. Good WiFi. Comfortable double bed, large desk space, decent fridge and kitchenette. Perfect for a Woking week away! I am a single woman travelling in her own and I felt very safe. There is security walking around and available all night from what I saw.

As it is student housing it is very basic. Nothing wrong with that but don't expect an Airbnb! I was missing a desk chair and one of the pans was unusable but these things didn't bother me as I was out for work most the time. The only thing is the windows are on security latches and don't open all the way. They are floor to ceiling (lovely) but if you're on the sun side like I was then the room just bakes all day. Especially in the morning! So I had to keep my curtains closed most the time. A fan would help but it still felt a bit stuffy.

The room itself was clean and comfortable enough. There were missing items such as toilet roll and a decent towel (1 hand towel was provided) bath mat etc.

The communal areas such as the hallway and lifts were very dirty. The students staying in the building were loud in the hallways, Running around and screaming through the night.

Room wasn't ready no staff to help on arrival took an hour of mayhem before anyone knew what was going on. Had to check into another hotel for the night as a reault as was late night.. Zero sympathy given ir refund on that. Had to clean the room myself on arrival dirty towels, toilet and bedding had to clean all at my own incovenice and expense. Rooms look nothing like the pictures grotty filthy and bashed up. It's full of noisy loud students running around the corridors all night setting off the fire alarm every two mins. Total waste of money, don't bother with it.
