Chavez Eco Beach Camping and Cabañas

This was my second stay with them. What a great way to experience the beach in Tulum. The family and staff are very welcoming and friendly. The showers had hot water and were cleaned often. Others mention not having a refrigerator, but if you bring a cooler there are places that sell ice nearby. They have a fully equipped kitchen, but the power system probably could not support a refrigerator. But you can charge your electronics in the common area. It really is a beautiful spot. There are a variety of restaurants for different budgets nearby, and also a convenience store that sells freshly made sandwiches, empanadas and other baked foods.

The location was great. The staff was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The tent was totally waterproof.

Wifi could have been extended to the tent area . It would have been nice if there was a charging station down by the tent area. But all in all the place was great and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!!!

The camp is just a few steps away from the beach with an affordable price. It is fantastic for animal lovers-- you can find raccoons and anteater at the night. Highly recommended!

Can’t recommend it enough. What a beautiful site located at the best area of zona hoteleira, in my opinion. I loved it! You go to sleep and wake up hearing the sea sound. You can watch the sunrise and admire the colour of the sky during the sunset. It is so pretty! There is a kitchen that you can use to prepare your food and save so much while in Tulum. The facilities actually surprised me a lot, as I was expecting a more raw sort of camping site, but at Chavez you’ll have lovely cabanas, if you prefer them instead of tents, clean toilets and hot shower. I met amazing people during my staying, which felt so special. I booked 7 nights at this place which I regretted very much because I wish I had spent all my 20 days in Tulum there.

It can be a bit noisy, like most of hotels in the area, due to the parties that happen at the beach in this area, but to me it was ok. I managed to sleep. The experience of waking up at the beach was important to me and totally worth it. During the day it is one of the few places with no music playing so you can enjoy a bit of tranquility. And if you feel like joining a beach club party, the camping is located close to the best ones.
