Rovers' Retreat Whitby George Street

Large bedrooms. Large dining kitchen. Very homely. Plenty of towels. Lovely bedding. Lots of board games.

Steep stairs going down to kitchen. Could have done with a radio or Alexa down in the basement.

The accommodation was well placed to walk into Whitby and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The host was very friendly and helpful and it's an ideal place for a large family or friends to stay.

The building is split over four floors so that may be a consideration for some people. Also, on the busiest weekends it can be difficult to find anywhere to park.

We absolutely loved the size of the property. The layout is beautiful, and the decor is well thought out. There is ample space indoors and outdoors. We loved the outdoor seating area. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment to allow for cooking and eating in. Having 3 bathrooms was amazing!

There is nothing i didn't like about the property. Just walking up the hill to the house every day killed me hahaha.

Great location, very clean and very comfortable

We stayed Monday-Thursday and had a family get together at the Rovers Retreat. We had an amazing time. The home is beautiful and decorated with little notes of Whitby everywhere including the history of the house. Everything is provided for and comfortable and we all felt very much at home. Parking was available and a stone’s throw from the town centre near the co-op and everything you need. Clean towels and bedding and honestly a really wonderful stay. Thank Gill for your hospitality and clear, kind communication. We will definitely be back x

Beautiful property

Good location,close to centre,beautifully decorated,very clean,very well equipped,lovely homely feel.

Just parking,had to park a couple of streets away the first night but then found a place opposite the property, just unloaded on to the pavement like everyone else seemed to do.
