Janet Hale Studios, Garden Apartment

Nothing, grubby and tired, this place needs a complete refurb, plus clothes hanging up in the living space behind an old curtain. The overpowering smell of dog was so unpleasant we could not stay. No pillow protectors so I didn't bother checking for a mattress protector, nothing seemed fresh and everything was just worn and tired out.

Everything. We could not stay, this is the first time this has ever happened to us and hopefully the last, waiting on booking.com but they tell me Hales have not responded to them regarding our complaint and refund request. If no support from booking.com what's the point of using their service?

Property was homely and had all the amenities required, short walk from town, the Tor and opposite a supermarket and petrol station.

Needed a clearer property sign from the main road.

Fantastic warmth and hospitality from our host, Janet. There were so many thoughtful touches to accommodate us and ensure our comfort. The apartment was cosy and private and contained everything needed for self catering (really cute and well-equipped kitchen). I loved the personal touches and the huge character of the garden studio. Perfect for our family visit to Glastonbury.

Everything, damp and disgusting, overgrown fire escape, old food on shelves and in freezer, peeling wallpaper. Garden full of junk.

A great self contained apartment that felt very homey. With everything I needed to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Close to everything and quiet at night.
