Wonderful host, this was an actual bed and breakfast with Chef cooked breakfast! Clean rooms and everything is well maintained and nice.

Host is very welcoming. The place is comfortable and she has everything you will need and more. Breakfast was exceptional.

The hostess and accommodations were wonderful. She is a chef and breakfast was excellent. She generously gave us as much additional time after check out to pack up as needed. She anticipated our every need!

The host has considered everything a traveller to Alaska might need and want in a B&B. She shares her experiences and knowledge about activities, road trips and wildlife in the north. The breakfast menu is comprehensive and the food amazing. Overall very comfortable.

Sondra blew our minds away. We loved how approachable, mindful and how thoughtful she was- it was as if she’d thought of everything! You honestly probably could walk into her place without even your luggage, and you’d feel right at home. It was squeaky clean, well stocked, at a great location- and with superb organic breakfast for you in the morning. Sondra’s also a great resource to understand how to navigate as you venture off through Alaska, and I highly recommend even just a conversation with her. That alone, is worth staying with her. We’re definitely coming again. And this time, just to be staying at her place longer.

Literally nothing

From the moment that we stepped into the B&B, the hostess Ms. Sondra was super nice and attentive! She helped us carry our bags up the stairs and explained everything about the facilities. The bed was comfortable, she left snacks and waters in all of the rooms, and the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The best part of the stay was the gourmet breakfast that Ms. Sondra prepared for us! It was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed our conversation with her as she cooked. She has her own hens and the eggs were extra fresh! The avocado toast and the home cooked sourdough bread were my favorites! Next time that I travel to Anchorage to visit my daughter, I’ll be sure to stay at the SunStar Alaska B&B again 😁

No complaints

First time staying at a BnB and Sondra set the bar high. Beautiful room and excellent host. Homemade breakfast was the best. Very attentive and hospitable host. Gave recommendations of things to do in the area. The room was stocked with everything that I didn't need to unpack my toiletries or stop for snacks and beverages.

The bed was a little creaky and no temperature control in the room but I think that's just a difference in a BnB. I tend to run hot, but there was a fan in the room that helped.
