Modern Studio Retreat with Free Park

Great location inside the 610 loop, convenient proximity to great food and activities. The property itself was pretty quiet and the best was incredibly comfortable.

Parking within the gated property was not ideal and I knew the vicinity of the unit isn’t always very safe to leave your car parked on the street from when I previously lived in Houston so that was the only real negative. The thermostat was an odd device and it made getting an ideal temperature sort of difficult. The tile in the unit wasn’t floated properly so there were some tiles loose/broken which made me a little nervous to walk around the unit because I didn’t want to be liable for damages.

It looked clean upon arrival but it actually had very dirty floors.

The floors were dirty, no hand soap in the bathroom, only one roll of toilet paper that ran out before our stay was over. Told the staff of these issues but they never got resolved. Didn’t get the room code til about 10 minutes after we checked in leaving us standing outside. Just overall very unprofessional. They also have a timer on the AC to turn UP during the night, that woke me up several times in a sweat. The door doesn’t block light from the outside and its placement right next to the bed made it unbeatable to sleep. The pillows and bed were very uncomfortable. It did make me appreciate what I have at home all the more.

The apartment didn’t have any closet or hanger to hang things, not even for the wet towels from the shower. It was also dirty — the towels we were given had many stains, the floor and the sofa were dirty, and even the sheets had stains.

Parking confusing, dirty outside. Broken glass around the door. Dirty dish in the drawer. No hand soap at any sink.
