Seaview Retreat Newbiggan by The Sea

The van is in a prime location on the holiday park . The views are fabulous & the enclosed balcony is great for dogs (& humans). It’s lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the sea at night. The caravan park itself is really clean and well maintained and the staff & residents are helpful & friendly. Loads of parking space. The coastal path is literally on the doorstep with access to a secluded beach via the golf course next to the park , again great for dog walks. There are also amazing dog friendly beaches a short drive away like Creswell & Cambois. The van is very comfortable with plenty of space and nice comfy new sofas and a good size TV ( not a little one in the corner ) . It’s genuinely dog friendly and so it was a relaxing stay. Newbiggin by the sea is a lovely little place but it isn’t the most dog friendly town we’ve visited in Northumberland and does have strict restrictions between May- Sept in the main areas, however we stayed at the van out of season in April so had no issues.

Parts of the van are a bit dated but the agency were very helpful and I understand it’s having a bit of a refurb to modernise it more. It didn’t take anything away from the stay for us however as the van is super comfortable and good value for money when you consider it’s prime spot.

View was amazing perfect location for walking the dog along the beach and for exploring the beautiful coast further afield. Caravan was a little tired in places but perfectly clean and comfortable lovely furnishings and nice little extras like blankets and binoculars great value for money would highly recommend...feel thoroughly refreshed after our stay 😀

Lovely holiday home, amazing sea views. Cosy and clean. Kitchen well equipped. Bed and pillows was comfy. Lovely break away was so peaceful. If you want a relaxing break this is the place to go.

The Light on the extractor fan for the oven did not work. Lamp in the living room the bulb didn’t work properly. Bedside cabinet lights didn’t work. Could do with some proper garden chairs for the balcony the deck chairs wasn’t sturdy and was so rusty.

Fantastic location with an amazing view. We saw lots of seabirds and a seal from the decking. Lots of thoughtful touches, such as binoculars, hot water bottles and throws. Peaceful caravan park and a very comfortable caravan. There was a broken radiator and damp carpet in one bedroom, but we were informed about this in advance. The owner was very helpful and quick to reply.

Location was beautiful, really amazing caravan. Loved it

The only thing I didn't like was that the big patio doors didn't have curtains so I couldn't close them over on a night but that was the only thing.

Freezing cold . Boiler wasn’t working correctly and had no heating or hot water as it kept going off. We Managed to keep warm the first night then contacted the Host first thing in the morning , who said it would be fixed that day . We returned in the evening to find it was still not sorted , so decided to go home as was far too cold to stay . There was a leaking radiator in one of the bedrooms too , with a towel put underneath it . Although the caravan was clean , it’s getting a little tired looking inside too

Slight problem with a leaking radiator / damp carpet but didn’t spoil the visit at all.
