"Didn't suit our needs"

5.0

The house was nicely furnished with comfortable sofas and bed. The shower was large with a strong flow. The managers next door were friendly and responsive when needed, even buying us a microwave for a medical need. Parking was easy in the nearby car park. There were shops and public transport nearby.

The biggest disappointment was the garden. There was an alleyway between the house and the garden so we couldn't leave the door open and we had to run the gauntlet of other people's loose animals to get the dog to the garden. The only place for the dog to 'do' was a muddy patch at the bottom of the garden so she had to be cleaned when we got her back in. I could not say that this property is dog-friendly. In addition, the seating area in the garden was not clean and there was no shade or privacy. It was also noisy and subject to the neighbours' smoke. The second thing I didn't like was that the washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer were in an outhouse, again across the alleyway, and not in the kitchen. The outhouse was dirty and I had to clean the spiders and cobwebs off the washing machine before I could use it. Other negative points were the paper-thin walls, the bad smells in the basement and the fridge (made worse by the plug-in 'air-fresheners'), the poor wifi in the upstairs lounge, the TV being in the basement and what was advertised as a 'second bathroom' being actually a toilet in the garden.

"A lovely pretty cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lovely neighbours too."

9.0

The cottage is located in a pretty village. The cottage was really well equipped and very comfortable. There are plenty of places to eat out and an excellent supermarket close to the property.

The only negative would be the limited number of towels available.

"Very pleasant comfortable house in a nice village with all you need (pubs, Indian, Butchers, Co-op)"

9.0

Easy free parking adjacent to property, lovely garden area to sit out, generally clean and comfortable accommodation. Two living rooms available which would be great for a larger group with kids etc. we were just two mates so spent most of the time in the kitchen. Great area for cycling straight from the house or with car further afield. Loved the cast iron ‘wok’ - we cooked every meal with it. Great butchers on main street and a Co-op with everything you need. Would stay here again without hesitation. Friendly and easy interaction online with owners.

"Great stay and lovely area."

9.0

Lovely house with a nice garden. The bedrooms were a good size and the local area is nice. There’s a coop round the corner for all your needs and it’s close to bigger towns like harborough. Really good location for walks around foxton locks.

We didn’t have any towels in 2 of the rooms- but fortunately found some in the tumble dryer. Could do with a proper outdoor table- the weather was amazing so we ate outside but the table was small.

"Great house, amazing stay"

10.0

Great choice of spaces at the property loved the TV room would have used gym if we're staying longer. Big bathroom and kitchen which was well equipped. Garden looked amazing shame it was a bit cold for us being from Spain.
