The Tryst Puerto Vallarta LGBT Hotel

Very nice new hotel, excellent location. Hotel employees very friendly always ready to help. We have been upgraded to the bigger room after our first few nights. Lovely view from roof pool.

Beautiful new hotel. All staff was very welcoming and accommodating.

The property was great but still under developed ! It only opened properly a week before we arrived and online it was advertised otherwise. There is no spa or gym which should be essential for a hotel like that! The guest services weren’t the most useful and didn’t even tell us about the drag brunch happening on Sunday. This should be asked first to the guest who stay in that hotel. Luckily , they did squeeze us in even after sold out booking. The hotel was quite empty and only saw occasional few people so not a place if you want to socialize. Other resorts in that area would be better. Another thing which we notice was lack of transparency on construction. There was construction happening and we could hear it all the time in our room. On the positives, the food and drinks were great! Perhaps more vegetarian options and more events throughout the week would make the hotel even more interesting!

Beautiful new gay hotel. Friendly staff, fun happy hour at the rooftop infinity pool, beautiful rooms if you upgrade. My one and only gripe was the lobby cafe, although it looks nice, wasn't the most comfortable place to have coffee or a bite.

Newly opened, the rooms were nice with great air conditioning and amenities.

When you check in they make you pay a $6,000 MXN ($300 USD or £230 GBP) 'incidentals' charge. This isn't "registering a credit card" for any room charges, its an actual payment you have to make. Upon checking out they're meant to deduct any expenses (bar/room etc) and refund your the remainder. Sadly it appears The Tryst have just decided to use this as a new source of income, as despite assurances that my card would be refunded, it has been a month and they've just kept my money. Emails to hotel staff now go unanswered. A really souring note to what was otherwise a nice stay. Sadly have to suggest you avoid unless you're looking to get significantly ripped off/stolen from, with management's consent.

Exceptional hospitality and impressive design throughout

Loved the Hotel overall. The staff were amazing. Jose the pool service waiter was just outstanding, so friendly and attentive. The rooms were great and the AC perfect. My only negatives were no umbrellas on the lower pool area , only one elevator, and the rooftop pool was always way too hot.

I love the design and architecture of the hotel - very modern and chic.

I didn't like the one functioning elevator. The A/C was pretty weak. I didn't like how we didn't feel secure because our room was on the 2nd floor right by the stairs - anybody can just walk through the main hotel entrance, climb up the stairs and to our room.
