Wingate by Wyndham Butte City Center

Very clean, no carpet so that was a plus. Everything was operating properly. We didn’t use the pool. We were looking for a room with a fridge and we found it with a freezer. Bonus! Also very quiet. Comfy beds.

Easy to find.

Next to busy ice dispenser which kept me up as it was constant noice from people needing ice. Was up till 2:00 am from the noise of ice machine. Odor from shower curtains was horrendous, never been washed it seems. Person at desk quickly changed subject when I spoke to her….didn’t seem to care or listen.

dissapointing overall, ridiculously long corridor to get to room/back to reception and breakfast room. Very limited options for dinner in Butte near hotel.

When wiping up water spilt the towel was black with dirt, bed spring broken on one of the beds, air conditioner has a very loud rattle, noise from next room and they were talking on normal voice and we understood every word.

The front desk agent who was working was kind. Room was clean.

I stayed here to save a little money, but honestly next time I would rather spend the money on a nicer hotel. The pool was too cold for my kids, who will typically spend an hour + swimming. They spent about 5-10 minutes total. You have to pay for WiFi- and the Continental Breakfast was sub par, nothing I could really eat there. The fitness center is really small, barely anything there, and the one bench was broken. The lights in the fitness center are also huge and right next to the equipment instead of the ceiling which felt blinding. Walls are paper thin and the people next to us were loud and belligerent. They rattled our door knob and knocked multiple times well into the early morning. I tried to call the front desk to ask for assistance- I am a single mom with kids so going out there myself was not an option- but the line was constantly busy- so I was up all night until our neighbors fell asleep. Overall disappointing and won’t be staying there again. I’d rather spend the extra $40 and go somewhere that will provide a better experience for the kids.

Long long hallways no elevator but one then a long long walk down the claustrophobic hallway

The main lobby was clean and the staff was nice.

First off, we noticed a funky "old hotel" smell in the hallway. The room smelled fine, thankfully. All of the plug-ins were loose, so charging our devices was hard. They also didnt seem to supply enough power to charge an ipad and phone at the same time no matter what charger we used, despite using the same chargers at a different hotel the night before and after with no problem. The bathroom was also so tiny you had to stand between the toilet and tub to close the door. Upon check-in, we were informed the pool would be closed until 7 for swim lessons. That was disappointing. Once we got to go in, they said it might be a little chilly because their heater broke. First off, it wasnt accessible to me as a wheelchair user. That was frustrating. Second, it wasn't "a bit chilly." My kids said it was freezing! When we went down for breakfast, there were hardly any tables and it was an absolute zoo. They were doing their best to keep it stocked, so that was nice, but none of the tables were getting cleaned and only a couple has napkins, so our breakfast was constantly interrupted by others needing them. The pancakes were also so soft they wouldn't stay on the fork, so they had to be scooped up.
