We booked a cab via the hotel and they sent us a very nice, friendly, helpful and reliable driver!! We were happy to tip him everytime!! Rohan (at the Reception) was also very helpful and always found solutions to any thing we wanted. I had some queries regarding the washroom (before our arrival in Amritsar); Rohan very sweetly took a video of the area so that I got a fair idea of the place!! Breakfast items were limited, but decent. The paranthas and pooris that were freshly made were very good. All the staff took good care of everything!! Sweet people

Booking.com needs to look into their software!! We had applied some filters - especially for a room for the specially abled. This hotel showed up. We went ahead and booked it. But the hotel has ABSOLUTELY NO facilities for the disabled. Not even a single grab bar in the wash room!! This is one thing they could certainly add.

The beds and pillows were comfortable, although there were only 2 pillows per bed. Check in and check out was quick and straightforward. Many mistakes were made, but the manager tried to rectify the issues. The manager asked for a favourable review, but too many mistakes were made so I can only share my honest experience. It is a new hotel, so expect mistakes, they are still inexperienced.

Upon arrival we saw a cockroach come out from underneath the bed. I have never seen a cockroach in real life so had to use Google lens to ID it. Not a great start. I was really scared to sleep the first night. We also didn't eat from the restaurant as I couldn't get the image of cockroaches out of my head. Toilet when flushed, the water gushes out of the toilet bowl. So unhygienic. We figured out the trick was to slightly press the flush and hold it down longer. Hot water was unpredictable. It was either scalding hot or cold. I asked for an iron, they told me another guest has left it in their room and gone to Harmandir Sahib, so I will have to wait till they come back. I sarcastically responded shall I sit in my room all day, till they come back and you can take my kids out to see Amritsar, to which they responded they will try to do something and get me an iron. I got an iron in the end and returned it to reception after using it on both days that I was there. Each guest room is supposed to have a hairdryer. It does not. When I requested one from reception, they told me they don't have one as it's broken. I had to go down to reception and explain they have listed it as an item on Booking.com and I needed to dry my hair before bed. They finally went out to the market and bought a brand new one. I also asked for extra pillows, which initially they seemed reluctant to give. Eventually they gave two extra pillows which were clearly used previously. I had to go downstairs and give them back. They did give brand new pillows with brand new pillow covers, but it shouldn't really have come to this. The curtains do not cover the whole window, so privacy is compromised at night. The hotel location doesn't look nice at all, you're greeted by wild dogs and a broken road. Uber drivers also find it hard to locate the hotel, you need to mention TownHouse Hotel and then instruct them to drive down the broken road.

A wonderful stay indeed. The staff was very welcoming and warm, they constantly checked if we were comfortable, if we needed anything. The room was very spacious, very clean and the room service was extremely commendable. The food was good, the location was perfect- just 10 mins from the Golden Temple.
