Erg Chebbi Desert Luxury Camp

In the confirmation we get from booking, nothing was written about the cost of the transportation from the meeting point in Mergosa to the camp. therefore we were surprised to find that it is quite a significant cost. we therefore suggest the owner of the camp to add it very clearly to the details of the reservation in booking.

The rooms here were amazing, there was even wifi! We had such good food and they were amazing with my girlfriend's diet and allergies. We watched the sunset over Algeria the morning.

We expected to be a bit closer to the very high dunes but we could only seem them from a little bit of a distance. I'm sure if we really wanted to we could've taken a camelride there if we stayed another night, but we were there only for a night.

we loved it here! the tent was wonderful, with nice bed and sheets. the bathroom was clean. we enjoyed the camel ride to get there (25 euro! but worth it!), the dinner was great and breakfast too! after dinner they set up a fire and we sang together with the other guests! great experience! all the guys in the staff were nice, they helped us with every request! everything was so relaxed and beautiful!

The room was a decent size, staff was friendly and accommodating.

Pricey for very average facilities. A children’s playground was advertised but not there.

Staff are so nice and helpful. Facility is Extra-comfort. All you may need while sleeping in Sahara. Great value for money. Highly recommended!! For couples or families!!!

Location

Poor service in a great, magoc location. The tents weren’t even cleaned after the first night. Only two or three staff members. Although very friendly, one could barely speak English or French which made communication quite hard. The other staff member (Mustafa) spoke basic English. Nevetheless, the staff was very friendly and caring about our comfort making their best to make our stay memorable. They were clearly doing their best. They were 10 stars and this rate has nothing to do with their will to do the best they could for us. We took the desert trip excursion and it was a complete flop: it completely lacked what we valued the most, which was to spend some time driving in the Erg Chebbi dunes. The 4wd car was in poor condition and we were taken to hot touristic spots that for me were of no interest whatsoever. A waste of a time that was suposed to be spent enjoying all the beauty of a very special place. At most we spent 10 minutes out of 4 hours in the dunes. As an example of the poor service, on our second day the tents were not cleaned nor done. I want to be clear that the camp staff has no responsibility on this, i believe all goes down to poor management. During the two days not a single contact from a manager or a more senior person trying to figure out how things were going. We had to pay for the lunch on our second day and it was suposed to be included.
