The only positive note from the trip had nothing to do with the apartment itself: the nearby village was lovely. We had three excellent meals in small, charming places run by genuinely friendly people.

Our experience at this apartment was deeply disappointing from start to finish. First impressions were poor: the arrival car park was a complete mess and immediately set the tone. Inside the flat, basics were shockingly lacking. For four guests and two bathrooms, we were provided with one and a half toilet rolls in total. There was no shower gel, no shampoo, nothing at all — not what you expect from paid accommodation. The Wi-Fi simply did not work. This was more than a minor inconvenience, as one member of our group lives in Italy and relies on Wi-Fi due to poor mobile signal. Unfortunately, the signal inside the flat was also very weak, leaving them effectively cut off. The biggest issue, however, was that the accommodation was misleadingly advertised. We booked specifically because the photos showed charming old wooden beams and a rustic barn-style property. What we actually arrived at was a very ordinary, characterless flat with none of the advertised oak-beam charm. This was the main reason we chose the property, and its absence was a genuine let-down. Because of these issues — especially the misleading description — we chose to leave early. Sadly, the accommodation itself was poor value, badly equipped, and inaccurately presented. We would not stay again.

The room decoration and layout was lovely. The apartment was very clean.

The bath plug was broken so that we couldn't use it. I did tell the staff but had no response. I put a bag down on the sofa which immediately dropped on the back side. It seems that a leg had fallen off previously as there was lots of dried glue stuck to it from previous repairs. The entrance to the property through the front door of the main building was dirty. Muddy foot prints and leaves. I understand that this time of the year is wet and muddy, but I didnt see anyone over my two days there try to clean it. A beer class was just at the entrance and stayed there. The main corridor up to the apartments was cluttered with golf clubs, boxes, linen cages and what looked like pillows in plastic bags. The walls and skirting boards were paint chipped and needed repair. The entrance just didnt reflect the luxury status of the apartments or the apartment itself.

Great decor. Extremely comfortable beds and furnishings. Bath was lovely.

Cleaning could have been better. Heating was a bit all over the place. Could have done with a few more kitchen basics eg salt pepper etc. Shower taps in main bathroom are a bit dubious (but en-suite shower great so no big issue).

The location was fantastic. Bus stop into Garstang right outside. Pet friendly which is a must for us. Lovely accommodation clean and welcoming. Enjoyed our stay. So much we have booked for this coming weekend too. Thank you

There was nothing we didn't like. Just a shame the shower in the main bathroom wasn't working.

Spacious apartment, well equipped, comfortable and well located for our needs, dog friendly too! would be helpful if there were details of local eateries and walks although we did our own research

Personally I would screen around the area for the bins etc

Hosts instructions for arrival were good.

Outside area was dirty and unwelcoming, access into building was blocked by laundry units, door onto outside terrace didn’t close so could not be secured, finishing throughout was poor, WiFi was poor. Sofa uncomfortable and leg was broken. Kitchen had bare essentials with mismatched cutlery. Overall definitely not a luxury let nor a positive experience.

There was no welcome package as per the photographs on the website (prosecco, cakes / biscuits, haribos) upon arrival. I enquired about this 2 days in a row and was told these items would be with me ASAP. They never ever turned up. Additionally the apartment lacked basic cutlery like teaspoons and tea towels for drying up. I asked about having some sent, once again they never ever turned up. Additionally I asked for some more toilet paper, was promised some, surprise. It never turned up. The WiFi is quite slow for current technology. About 15gb download speed. This was manageable but once you get onto the 2nd floor where the bedrooms are the WiFi is non existent. The modem / router does not have the reach. A simple WiFi extender would fix this but there wasn't one.

living space was modern and quirky . The size was good for bedrooms and washrooms . Comfy

Where do we start . Car park full of rubbish . Old carpets dominate one corner . cups , waste strewn around car park .. disgusting first impression. Not enough clear information on how to access the apartment, trolleys full of linen lining the access. One toilet had a weak flush and even had some tobacco waste in it on arrival . The patio area with table and chairs was dishevelled and unusable with one of the kitchen bins fallen over on it . Clearly a rush job from cleaners . We were only left-hand towels , no bath towels and upon phoning the contact number the gym asked us to collect our own from the trolleys in entrance area . He apologised but wasn't really bothered. Electrical plug socket missing in a bathroom . it's a shame because the apartment could be very nice with a little TLC in a great location . Decor not to my taste but didn't bother me . comfort is key .
