Aquamarina Hotel

The pool is nice and the walk from the beach is nice too. The personal is kind.

The hotel is a bit isolated in the south. It is far from anything and you have to either walk on a dangerous road - or walk on the beach during they day when the water is low enough OR always take taxis. You very quickly feel locked and isolated in this hotel. Moreover, the kitchen is really really not up to a real hotel kitchen (but they charge as much or even more than very good restaurants in town). So the main issue in this hotel is to eat correctly. As eating in the hotel is not really an option (the kitchen team is super nice and friendly, but they don't have a real hotel kitchen) and eating outside means always taking taxis - unless you have your own car. Also, even if the staff did its best to be nice and kind, I didn't really feel welcomed in this place. I would really have wished that the hotel felt concerned by my trip and tried to be empathic and help but it really felt like no one really cared that we were stuck here with no easy transportation and not good food. The breakfast, come on, you can really do better. A few fruits and a pancake... Please note, the owner changed in November so maybe the service did change too. The buildings in front of the see looks cool - but still the one at lower level barely offers a see view imo - and some rooms are right onto a parking lot. I found a rat in my flat one night, the thing came from the sewer - cf picture.

I like everything about the property. the resort is placed in Jambiani, in a peaceful and breathtaking position. all over the place is extremely clean, with many places where you can relax and enjoy the music or the sound of the ocean. the pool is quite big, beach beds around it or on the beach. the villa is very spacious and extremely clean. the breakfast is delicios, with a lot of local fruits, fresh juice, coffee and tea. the staff definitely impressed us with their joyful, every moment willing to help us with everything needed. for sure we will be back next year. thank yoy for all you did for us, guys! it was a pleasure for us to meet you and spend time together!

A pleasant and relaxing place to stay. I stayed here for 5 nights and I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff, the privacy of the place and the layout of the location. We were able to use the pool when we wanted to relax and not leave. We had a rented car, so the so-called isolation did not bother us. I even appreciated the safety of the place and the lack of crowds...

If we had to find something to criticize, it could be the fact that not all the staff knew English. We arrived at night and received several "Yes" answers even when we were waiting for some details. Otherwise, I can't fault anything else.

pictures were very far from reality. beach is far from the hotel you need to go down some stairs and then some rocks pretty dangerous rooms/ appartment are quite dark no real light in the living room small window only thing is the beach is. BEAUTIFUL!

- Staff was very friendly, - Wifi was slow (max 3mbit and choppy) but was available all over the terrain - There was free parking for the car. - AC worked - Bed was comfortable.

- Apartment building was old and full of cracks through which lizards, spiders, ants and other wildlife was free to enter - No kettle in the room - Fridge was loud, - Sewage system smelled through shower drain into the flat. - The whole selection for breakfast was: Toast, crepes (they called them pancakes), sausage or scrambled eggs, that's it, every day. - The place isn't even in Jambiani which ends few hundred meters earlier. - Access to the ocean was closed every day around 19:00, so later you had the pool only. - Wifi was totally insufficient for remote work, local sim card and mobile hotspot saved the day. - The apartament is located by the road that goes through the aparthotel terrain and just next to the dining cottage. As an effect if your curtains aren't drawn, everybody sees what happens inside, and you hear everybody outside.
