COZY Inn Free Shuttle service

The owner is very friendly and helpful. He offered up some great options of things to do and see that were probably not in any tourist book. He even gave us some great tips on places to eat in Tokyo! You're staying in his home and it's not near the town, so you'll need to rely on him to shuttle you to the train and pick you up unless you want to do the 30 minute walk to and fro. The house is a very traditional Japanese style house, which was great to see and enjoy.

The internet service was a bit slow. Not being able to set our schedule completely as we needed the ride into town took some getting used to, but the owner is fairly flexible unless he has somewhere to be.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel dans ce ryokan ! Hiro-san est un hôte incroyable, toujours aux petits soins : il nous a réservé un excellent restaurant, donné plein de conseils précieux pour les visites et randonnées, et même accompagné dans un magasin de figurines où nous avons pu faire plein d’achats. 🤩 Son chien est absolument adorable et ajoute une touche chaleureuse à l’accueil. La maison, typique japonaise, est magnifique et l’onsen est tout simplement parfait pour se détendre après une journée de découvertes. Un endroit unique, authentique et un hôte inoubliable !

Hiro est sérieux, serviable et plein de conseils ! Il vous emmène et vient vous chercher à la gare 🚉 maison traditionnelle, au calme. On a passé un très bon moment en famille. Mention spéciale pour le onsen « privé »

Hiro-san’s traditional house in the countryside of Nikko was a perfect place to stay during our visit. The house itself is beautiful and clean, and features an onsen and koi pond. It was lovely and tranquil. And Hiro was the perfect host—he picked us up/dropped us off at the train, suggested terrific itineraries for Nikko exploring, and even helped us with the complicated train hopping to our next destination. He was funny, warm, and helpful—everything you could hope for in a host.

Destination is a little remote and without a car you will rely on trains and Hiro driving you to them. That said, the accommodation is close to the train, and Hiro didn’t seem to mind taking you when you needed.

Hiro et son assistante Marie, sa petite chienne, nous ont accueillis dans leur maison traditionnelle japonaise avec un grand sourire et un anglais parfait 😉. Hiro nous a préparé le onsen où nous avons pu nous détendre après notre journée de visite, un vrai régal très chaud ! Nous avons passé une très bonne nuit chacun sur un futon dans une chambre traditionnelle. Le dépaysement était total pour nous français et très agréable. Hiro nous a aussi apporté de nombreux conseils (restaurant et visite), merci Hiro et Marie 😄!

Host is extremely friendly and ready to suggest local restaurants and other places to go. Large room was comfortable and AC worked good. Loved the little onsen bath. The location was beautiful, hidden off the historic road lined by giant cedar trees.

Driving there could be a little confusing, but Hiro provided instructions and pictures so we were able to find our way without any problems. You also share the washroom with the guests in the one other room, but this doesn't bother me too much.

We had an awesome host. Hiro San was awesome. He was very kind and told us where the cool spots where! This place was very cozy indeed. Our stay was great! we had a great time here, our room was beautiful and roomy. We would totally stay here again!

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument incroyable chez Hiro et son adorable petit chien Marie. Tout était parfait du début à la fin : l'accueil, la gentillesse, la disponibilité. On a rarement vu un tel sens du service. La communication en anglais était impeccable, ce qui a rendu les échanges encore plus agréables. Nous reviendrons lors de notre prochain séjour au Japon sans hésitation et plus de temps pour profiter de son magnifique logement et de son jardin très agréable. Merci pour tout !
