"Great lodge for short stay"

Friendly reception .... Great lodge although q. Small for six. We were only 4 so it was fine. Well equipped... lovely and warm on arrival. Lovely grounds and great on site restaurant/food.

Key, lock were tricky...had to call emergency no. But all got sorted. Horrendous rain all weekend - 8th to 10th December - so we didn't go outside or use the hot tub sadly. Short of towels.. had to call reception for more. Again sorted quickly.

Great lodge with everything you need and lots of storage.

Despite having a site map and details, it was quite tricky to find the actual lodge as it is called a different name on the door. We weren’t the only ones who had this issue. Also it was -3 when we arrived and the heating wasn’t on meaning it took a good few hours to get warm! Putting the heating on low when guests are due to arrive would be a better experience.
