John is a perfect host,and made us very welcome.The apartment is so well appointed,lots of crockery,glassware,appliances everything you could possibly need. It is traditional, clean,cosy and comfortable.The garden was delightful and still extremely colourful in September. John was very knowledgeable about the area and advised many places to visit.Property is in a quiet location of the town but still near all amenities. Town has a lot to offer,attractive and some very good walks. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.Thank you John.

Greeted by host shown around property fresh fruit.milk and a box of shortbread left for us as a welcome very nice. Fresh flowers in the living room.

"Exceptional"

It's got some character, happily go back for another trip. The decor is a little dated but that doesn't matter due to how clean the place was kept, only the style gives away ages cos the condition is as new. Plenty of cutlery and accessories. Everything was easy to access. Black out curtains for a good night's sleep. John, the host, was friendly and left you to your own devices. Location is great. Quiet little backstreet and the front patio and mezzanine deck is a great spot to enjoy a morning brew or a late night drink. The food and drink in the local area doesn't disappoint and the views around berwick are nice too.

The shower isn't for tall people but there are no real negatives at all. It's a great place to stay.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It is situated in a quiet spot but very central in the old part of the town. John the owner was extremely welcoming. We arrived by train and John picked us up from the railway station. He also drove us to the local supermarket and back so we could do some shopping! He could not do enough to help us. A lovely place to stay.

"A great stay in a very comfortable and superbly equipped apartment."

The ground floor flat was superbly equipped. The owner lived above and was extremely helpful. The flat had a lovely outdoor area built above part of the Garden. The position in Berwick was perfect, near the around city wall, and 500 yards from the shops. Car parking was by permit outside the property, permit supplied. A great holiday place to stay.

Restaurants in the area were pretty poor. But the best Cafe, was just around the corner.

"Exceptional"

Such a comfortable cottage in a wonderful location, very close to the harbour wall and to the old town. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you could want and the double bed was comfy (not too soft for my bad back and not too hard for my bad hips - just right!). The owner was extremely welcoming and kind, offering his help if we ever needed it. He couldn't have done more. There's parking on the road outside or in a free car park at the back of the property, which always had spaces available. The area was quiet. We had the joy of seeing a pod of dolphin for about half an hour from the pier (near the lighthouse). Holy Island is only a short drive away and we took the train to Edinburgh for a day's visit. Would thoroughly recommend Oil Mill Lane Cottage.

Nothing. Everything was perfect, making it a great holiday.
