Holiday Apartment In Old Town

Location, water bottles, nice flowers

Very basic, old bathrooms, shets for sofa bed missing but were brought later, no kitchen table or chairs

I was expecting a good standard apartment, even if a little expensive and I thought the reason was linked to the location, relatively close to the Old Town (actually 10min walk). In reality the apartment was renovated roughly, quickly and without care, leaving out clearly visible details in the bathrooms and rooms. It can also be a solution for staying a few days in the city, but the price certainly does not correspond to the level of the apartment.

The location is very strategic in the city. There were fresh roses in the rooms to welcome us. The kitchen is fairly well equipped , packets of fruit juices, cereal , milk & bottled water were supplied.

No dining table & chairs ! We end up eating our breakfast standing in the kitchen . No hot water in the common bathroom with bathtub. Mattresses are too soft & sinking.

Full apartment is needing attention to detail. Scuffed paintwork and chipped walls in most rooms. Gaffa tape is holding many of the fixtures together, including doors, radiators, fire alarms. Poor maintenance of apartment throughout. Description of apartment says there is a balcony, this is inaccurate. It's actually french patio doors that you can't open as there is a massive couch directly in front of doors. As the apartment is on the second floor the 'balcony' is just bars across the windows. Lack of any other furniture/smaller lamps in the living room area. Although there is a large flat screen TV on the wall (taped together) , there is no channels available. Unless you sign in to streaming channels like Netflix or prime, you won't be able to watch anything on the TV. Some provisions like milk and bottled water were provided , which was appreciated. There were other provisions like tea, coffee and sugar. But these were opened and unclear how long they had been there. The kitchen cupboards were also all sticky from previous cooking. Towels were provided but these were still damp in the bathroom or hanging to dry in the kitchen area. Out of the three bedrooms, the main ensuite was the worst in appearance. Stained sheets on bed and the shower in the ensuite was in poor condition. The curtain in the ensuite bedroom, is not long enough to cover the window so a chair has been used to block out the bottom of the window. There is many exposed cables near window frame. We slept in the other two rooms which were in better condition,with fresh clean sheets. Initial communication with host was non existent. Initial messages and emails were never answered. Eventually got in touch by phoning them. However we spoke to different people on the two occasions we phoned and got told different information from each person. (We had wanted to check in earlier and leave bags. Initially told could leave bags, then told we weren't able to) .
