Calypso Beach and Dive Resort

Its very accessible and staffs are very nice

Nous avions une chambre avec vue partielle sur la mer. Les déjeuners à la carte étaient excellent. Nous avons aussi pris plusieurs repas et tout était excellent. Ce que j’ai adoré c’est l’emplacement pour prendre un cocktail avec vue sur la mer. C’était mon coup de coeur.

L’eau de la mer était de couleur verte à cause de la présence d’algues. On pouvait quand même s’y baigner. Nous sommes arrivés à 14hrs et on nous a fait attendre jusqu’à 15hrs même si la chambre était prête.

Being on the beach front is always a treat. Ease of access to the strip and great views to the sunsets and beach. Lots of restaurants close by and some VERY tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Laundry is done with great speed and smells very clean. There is a pool at the front that is kept very clean and is great for kids to have fun while mom and dad enjoy a drink. Our dive guides Arjay and Harry did a great job.

Live music is good to have but when it is in a dive resort it should not go until 11pm or midnight, the music can be heard in all rooms in the resort. Divers need rest! The dive center has not been well maintained over the years. It has deteriorated since our last visit 6 years ago. The kit storage area is very rusty and appears to be used as a smoking/break area by the staff. The dive boat seems to be poorly maintained and we were left waiting for 12 minutes waiting for them to get the engine started. Overall it just needs some more love.

Oceanfront, very good breakfast fare/choices, had priority with lounge chairs by the beach.

Penalty for bringing outside food although this was disclosed at check in & writer was aware of this upon booking.
