The staff here don’t know there arse from there elbow, we arrived after booking.com saying we wouldn’t have to pay anything at the property we then had to pay the £150 deposit for any damages, we spoke to a man when we got there who said it needs to be pay via a link that was sent (this was never sent) so we had to wait for this to come through baring in mind there is no signal whatsoever at this place. He wouldn’t allow us to pay on card or whatever. We finally managed to do it and was told we would receive the money back on departure if no damages, of course no damages were made. We spoke to the owner of the property as we were leaving who even allowed us to look around the mansion he also told us we’d get the money straight back, after a lot of back and forth we were then told 14 days for the money to return to us. We are now 24 days since the stay and still not received the deposit back, we have spoken to several people who clearly don’t have a clue what they are talking about. £105 a night to stay here - understable, £255 (including the deposit) for 1 night - absolute shambles. Would never have stayed if we’d have known this was going to happen. Would steer clear from this place. The staff havent a clue what they are talking about or doing!

GBI attended a wedding at Minstrel Court so great just to be able to go back to my room after. A lovely clean and welcoming room. Bed very comfortable
It was booked last minute and I didn’t check my emails for updates prior to leaving and didn’t get the door code, signal poor onsite so couldn’t download emails when got there. Found someone onsite to help so resolved efficiently. Would have been great to have had some teabags in the room as there was sugar and milk but no tea .
GBLoved the place! Chalet was superb for a travellers stop. Clean, comfy, warm, well equipped.... Grounds are lovely too.

GBThere was a mistake, and our room was not made up when we arrived at the property. However, we immediately got a room upgrade for free, and multiple staff members apologised for the inconvenience. A beautiful place to stay, and well-priced too. Thank you!

Next to a noisy road
The property looked great from the website. When i booked a refundable deposit of £150 was requested. I tried, unsuccessfully, to pay this from a different card than the card I booked with. Then I paired with the booking card. When I turned up at the property there is no reception, no staff, the place was deserted. I called the phone number to get my check in details to find the deposit hadn’t been taken and I still had to pay it. It took almost an hour in total to check in. The property is lovely, well equipped and clean. My deposit was held for 2 weeks until I contacted the property again and requested its return. Apparently this property is under new management. They have very unusual way or running a business. I will NOT return to this property.
