The Stables at Minstrel Court

The room is clean but it's very small.

There were no towels and not enough cutlery. We arrived Friday night and there was a party or celebration as we were kept awake all night with shouts and screams. We had a 6 year old with us who was kept awake too. We had problems paying the deposit and the manager became very rude and threatening. I asked for his name abd he refused to comply. The other staff were very professional and helpful. Avoid this place

The location was brilliant for work.

The main road was abit noisy. Room was a bit cold despite portable heater.

The noise from the road couldn’t be heard at all due to doors and windows being away from the road which was really good! The stay is an amazing little space not too far from Cambridge centre and we would gladly rebook in the future. However one night I’m not sure if it was staff or other guests but there were people talking outside the room (appeared to be staff with backpacks on) but can’t be 100% sure as we didn’t ask, talking very loud outside the room very late at night. They appeared to be waiting to leave. But again this could’ve been other guests waiting for a taxi. Other than that one little thing it was flawless.

Property and facilities were entirely satisfactory. Noise was not a problem, so unless you are used to absolute silence at night, don't worry.

Whoever runs this accommodation has an IT system that leaks like a sieve. Within a matter of hours of making this booking, I started to receive e-mails asking me to pay the deposit. Even the message that came via the Booking.com mail relay said… "To complete the outstanding steps through our secure online portal, please click on the following link: https://zee.vu/****** Please note that if the above steps are not completed within 24 hours, we reserve the right to cancel your booking." Because this message came via Booking.com, I assume it's legitimate. But there are contradictory statements: on the one hand they say that the deposit can be paid on arrival and on they other, they send a link to a proxy web site (i.e. could be anyone or anything) asking for details, demanding a deposit within 24 hours, threatening to cancel the booking if this is not paid. A couple of days later, I received an e-mail from "notifications@zeevou.com" (? zee.vu ?) asking me to pay the deposit to… https://payman-reservation.world/***** …which has since gone offline. A few days later, I received an e-mail from "notifications@zeevou.com" advising… "Please note there is currently a scam going around targeting our guests. You may have received an email purporting to be on behalf of us asking you to pay through a link containing "booking.id..." or "payman-reservation.world" in it. Please do NOT pay through this link. If you have already paid through the link, please inform your card issuer ASAP" The fact is that card issuers won't refund if the payment has been made voluntarily. So I am €120 down because the company operating Minstrel Court (whoever they are) do not make their procedures and details entirely transparent i.e. • To whom should deposit be paid, and when? • From whom will I receive e-mails? If using Booking.

The room was very clean and beautiful It was a lovely touch with the ear plugs and robe and slippers ... The bed was lovely and comfortable.

There wasn't anything not to like .. we would recommend this to others lovely place ☺️

The apartment was spotless and everything I needed was on hand. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful with anything I needed.
