Cosy cottage+ secluded garden

Parking at times tricky

Beautiful old cottage, park just around the corner to take our 2 dogs to. We immediately felt at home.

There was no parking but we could park only a short distance away.

It’s a typical old cottage and it’s decorated accordingly it’s quirky and interesting at the same time lots of memorabilia of the movies and photography and many old items of interest , liked the adds tounch of food in the fridge and all the condiments that you can help yourself too , fabulous Chinese 3 doors away the best we have had , can’t fault the accommodation , we only stayed one night but was very comfortable

The road is busy outside but I wouldn’t mark the cottage down for that

Fabulous property a short walk to the seafront and shops …. Great little cottage where you feel right at home …. Really enjoyed my stay there and the host is super kind and friendly ….

Beautiful quirky comfortable cottage with all the amenities you need for a seaside getaway ! Lovely gardens and large rooms ! Fireplaces and comfortable furniture - breakfast was provided - it felt like a real home from home - woukd stay again .

I liked everything - it was comfortable and cosy and location was great - shortish walk to the beach and town centre - and short drive to medieval sandwich

We took our own breakfast, although we did note there were jars of cereal on the table. We were disappointed with the location as the road outside was rather more busy than we thought it would be, and was on a bit of a dodgy bend which made crossing a little difficult. Was also further from the beach than we'd thought. We found the host, Scott, very helpful and easy to contact when we needed to talk to him.

Kerb appeal wasn't great. The front garden could do with some TLC, the same with the back garden. There was no mention of the steep stairs up to both the first floor bedroom and the second floor bedroom, with a rope handrail. Not suitable for children, or anyone with mobility issues. We think there should also have been a safety mat in the bath and a mat for stepping out of the bath. There is a pond in the back garden which, again, could be a bit of a problem for children. The garden furniture could also do with an update. One chair was broken, and there were only 2 - no good if there were 4 guests. The living room was very dark and slightly depressing.

Advertised as breakfast included, which consisted of 4 to 5 slicess of bread in the freezer and some open half used jam in the fridge,there was also a out of date box of cereal. I called the host and he rudely told me there was a convience store across the road, for me to purchase my breakfast. Even though this was included in the price and was a main reason for my booking thos property. My friend and I had to go and buy breakfast for 2 days, at an additional expense. The cottage itself was comfortable, although very dull and dusty ,towels were like sandpaper to touch and the secluded garden was very overgrown.. the hense secluded
