Mammoth Cave Lodge and Cabins

I loved how the faculty were always checking on me to make sure I had everything I needed, incredibly friendly, but most of all it was sooo beautiful!

I wouldn't have described it as a cabin with a terrace, but it was a nice inn!!

Trails were poorly marked

It was great, except for the lack of WiFi and a Stove

No cooking appliances or WiFi

Breakfast at the lodge's restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.

We reserved room in Sunset Terrace area. When arrived, we had somehow been assigned to Woodland Cottage which is a rustic 1930's cottage. Fortunately the lodge was able to switch us to a room in Sunset Terrace. Major complaint, it was an ADA accessible room, which meant shower was "roll in" for a mobility device meaning when showering water spilled all over the entire bathroom tile floor. No matter how many towels you laid on floor at shower's edge, they got thoroughly soaked and entire floor wet. Dangerous for falls. I don't think there is any alternative to this design, so I think only guests NEEDING accessible bathroom should be placed in accessible rooms. Otherwise I think an accessible room should be left empty until a guest who needs it, reserves it.

Someone had dogs barking loud most of the day and it really ruined the peace and quiet so we couldn’t enjoy the solitude of the park.

Quiet. True to being historical but with modern conveniences.

No comfortable chair to sit in to read, etc.
