Willow's Nordic Shepherds Hut

Perfect for a quiet getaway. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped except no microwave or oven (although it’s hard to imagine where it could fit). The tiny wood burner was a real plus on cold mornings.

Absolutely lovely, cosy and inviting Shepard’s hut in the heart of Ballater. This little homely nook has everything one needs for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Hosts were communicative and the welcome book has lots of great local information in it. We hope to be back soon

Beautiful space, very comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and the shower had great pressure and heat despite the eco hot water tank being smaller than average. Highly recommend keeping the skylight uncovered at night to appreciate the stars!

A great little hut with everything you could need for a simple base to explore this lovely area. Well located for the town centre and loads of on road parking in this quiet location right outside the hut.

Possibly the addition of a small shelf in the bathroom for toiletries, otherwise excellent.

I loved everything about my stay at the Willow Nordic shepherd hut! It was the perfect little weekend escape that I needed. It was warm and cozy when I arrived! It was a great location for the walks that I wanted to do near Ballater. I really appreciated that the owner checked in with me. I would love to visit again!

Brilliant hosts, took great care prior arrival and after the stay! Amazing Shepherds Hut centrally located in quiet Ballater centre. Very comfortable and stylish Scandi style interior with great facilities including wood burning stove.
