The apartment is located on the 5th floor of an old USSR-era building, about a 3–5 minute walk from the train station. The elevator is very old and didn’t work for a couple of days during our stay. After booking, I received a questionnaire asking for a lot of personal information. Once it was completed, I started receiving many messages on WhatsApp, including repeated reminders to pay the tourist fee (which had already been paid through Booking). After clarification, the request was cancelled. One day before arrival we received detailed instructions on how to reach the building and find the keys, along with a long list of rules for guests. On the check-in day the same information was sent again. Unfortunately, when booking it’s impossible to know which specific apartment you will get. The flat we received was small, and the way the shower and toilet are installed makes the bathroom quite uncomfortable to use. The photos on Booking showed pots and a coffee machine, so we expected to be able to cook and make coffee. In reality there was only a small saucepan, and the coffee machine was hidden inside the kitchen cabinet. There was no salt, sugar, oil, or coffee capsules. We used the email mentioned in the instructions to ask if it was safe to drink tap water, but instead received a reminder to take out the trash. There were no separate bins for recycling, although in Lithuania people usually sort their waste, so we had to buy extra bags to do it ourselves. Before checkout we received another questionnaire asking to confirm our departure time, and after submitting it we were offered a late checkout, which we didn’t need.

Die Unterkunft ist klein aber hat alles, was man braucht! Und ist sauber und modern eingerichtet! Per E-Mail wurde der check in sehr gut erklärt!

Das Gebäude an sich und das Treppenhaus sind renovierungsbedürftig! Aber die Wohnung ist wirklich toll!

It was a bit tricky to navigate the building first time. I have received two emails containing two different sets of information for two apartments, so it took me a minute or so to understand where I am actually staying. I was also confused on which floor all the properties where located and where I should collect the keys. But maybe it was just me so no major issues as I managed to figure everything out and from then it was smooth sailing. My apartment was outside the usual sets of apartments which I kind of liked but the down side was loud noises from the lift - which again, nothing that can be done and it was not something that was a major bother. However, sound isolation from other apartments was not that great as I could clearly hear other guests and I must tell you that they were having parties there even though it is not allowed. Again - not a major issue and it did not ruin my stay in the flat at all.

Der Gastgeber ist ausserordentlich zuvorkommend. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und modern renoviert.
