Fisherman's Cottage in Pennan

Beautiful wee cottage. Absolutely loves our stay. Many thanks.

Scenery was fantastic

Spiral staircase could be awkward for an older or a larger person.

The beds were comfy. The cottage is cosy. Enough equipment to get you by. The toiletries were excellent. The hostess is very helpful.

Needs heater in double bedroom. And black out blinds. We couldn’t use this bedroom due to draft and light from streetlight. There needs to be a warning strip on level change to living room as it is a trip hazard. Please keep a dish scrubber in kitchen. Stairs are bit steep and you do end up hitting your shins. But it can’t be helped due to the age of building

The property was lacking a little maintenance- easily fixed. The curtains in main bedroom were totally inadequate, didn’t fit and were held together with tape, which immediately fell apart. The outside light interfered with sleep until I covered the windows with the throws from the other beds. The bathroom blind (which looked new) fell off the wall the first time I pulled the chord to close it. The front door requires a draught excluder - there is no point suggesting that the visitor can be “eco friendly” by not using towels if the heating has to be on constantly due to the property lacking basic insulation and proper curtains. When I arrived I found downstairs radiators turned off so property uncomfortably cold initially

We got to see the Northern lights! The bed was so comfortable! Nice and cosy wee fisher house with excellent views of the sea, the harbour.

Cleans arrive earlier than check out and we’re quite rude.

Really cosy little cottage, with well use of space & all amenities provided. Although we were not lucky with the weather, we had a great time & enjoyed this lovely home even more from inside than we’re planned. Description on the website and provided by the host are all correct & very useful- so just read through before booking.

It’s the most pretty and comfy cottage, it has everything you need.

The local pub was a disappointment, we remember it when it was a real pub with great food and hospitality
