DEWe were in Ushguli after the trek from Mestia, and Mamuka and family were excellent hosts! Very communicative, friendly, and outstandingly kind. The facilities are simple but clean and comfortable, and breakfast was one of the best of the trek. The house is just a short climb from the best overlook point in town. And while restaurants and the ethnography museum are just minutes away by foot, the house is on the outskirts of the village, so less foot traffic noise. Mamuka gladly arranged our taxi back to the Zugdidi train station together with other guests. I highly recommend staying here if you're in town. Don't forget to check out the gallery above the kitchen, where the collection of Mamuka's artist uncle is housed. Really incredible abstract paintings up there!
