- Host, a Russian guy, was really helpful when it mattered: I had to visit the hospital after a dog bite. But helpful in general. - Really close to the sea - Generally, very good food - Quiet environment - Nice pool and pool-area

- Little bit off-side - Some fixing needed sometimes. The room was fresh and nice, but a few details didn't work, like bathroom door, closets stuck. - The sea in front of the hotel is open, meaning the waves makes it impossible to bath most of the time

We did not have breakfast as not included in the room price. We had drinks and dinner, good prawns (pre ordered). Fantastic swimming pool and location right on the beach. Staff friendly and helpful

Towels and linen very stale smell and initially not clean around the pool area, but this improved the next day and following. Although the Manager and staff were all very helpful, their presentation was too casual, some with soiled shirts which does not give a good impression. Especially when the cost is high, one expected much higher standards with quality towels and bed linen.

On a quiet beach with large beautiful pool.

The location was quite remote with no nearby restaurants to walk to besides the dirt track from the property was dark with no lighting. We were captive in the evenings to the hotel restaurant and the food was ok but not great.

South Coast Villas offered (among the 5 hotels, including 2 5* that we have visited) the place where we would again spend most time of our vacation, for several reasons: First, the location at the beach is wonderful. Second, the team is really exceptionally good in taking care of you. We felt welcome and always happy when interacting with the personnel. The team also helps you with inordinately requests, for example changing a bulb in the car. Third, food was really good. Fourth, the rooms are really beautiful and clear. Waking up in the villas in the morning and going to bed was very nice every day. WiFi across the place was also very good. Clearly the place where we would again spend most of our time.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Here you can have an excellent option to relax and be in full harmony with the nature: quietness, sound of wavy ocean, parrots singing on the cocunt palm next to your spacious villa. The food serving in Mandala noticeably differs from any other place on Sri Lanka. It's very delicious with a professional approach meeting the best standards of taste. Thanks to Ivan, we spent an unforgettable holiday here. He did everything to make our leisure on top level, starting from watching a football match on the big screen till the three cutest puppies which our children played with. It was really fabulous!
