South Coast Villas by Mandala

The hotel was amazing, with a great atmosphere on a beautiful beach. The food was delicious—fresh fish, seafood, and avocado salad. The villa was big and very spacious, surrounded by palm trees, with a nice pool and a cozy, peaceful vibe. The staff was excellent. It was perfect!

First of all, a good taste demonstrated in decorating the rooms, giving the natural “eco” vibe. Secondly, it is an oasis of tranquility, where the neighborhood won’t disturb your peace (except the loud oceans waves!). Lots of space for privacy. Third, it’s the entertaining things like the infinity pool, the beds right on the amazing wide and long wild beach, the small inner restaurant right at your feet. Last, but not least, it’s the young, extremely warm stuff who served with kindness all the requests, like meals, ordering taxi, massage at the nearby Divine Spa (very good!). It felt like a genuine place and I already miss it!

Unfortunatelly, one annoying thing for me was a lack of a good internet connection. I work online, so this place wouldn’t serve those needs for a longer stay. I could barely catch the WiFi at one spot near the pool. Perhaps other rooms have a better luck!

This hotel was way better than the other places we stayed at. We booked it last-minute before our flight home, and honestly, it was the best decision. Super quiet, no stress, the food was awesome (shoutout to the chef!), the staff was super friendly, and the villa - huge and spotless--perfect for relaxing. The beach had waves sometimes, but we swam just fine. Apparently, like 99% of Sri Lanka's beaches have waves. But heads up: where the waves are smaller, surfers take over. You can't even swim without worrying about getting smacked by a surfboard. Kinda ruins the vibe if you're just trying to chill.

The villa was clean, spacious, and the hotel nestled in a peaceful, secluded area - far from crowded surf spots like Weligama Beach. The beach felt untouched, with just a few couples Staff were helpful: free fruits on arrival, quick fixes for requests, and a dessert offered after a room delay. The restaurant did breakfast well: multigrain bread with scrambled eggs, avocado, and good coffee. Nearby places? Just oily fried rice - nothing special. Perfect if you want nature and quiet. Would return

A Perfect Paradise – Highly Recommended! Our stay at Mandala Villas was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the warm and friendly team, including the owner, who made sure we felt at home throughout our stay. The location is breathtaking – a pristine, quiet beach with crystal-clear water, perfect for relaxation. The infinity pool is simply stunning, offering amazing views of the ocean and unforgettable sunsets. The entire property is beautifully designed with nature in the most perfect way. The food was another highlight. Breakfast was delicious with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the evening meals were outstanding—flavorful, beautifully presented, and made with great attention to detail. Mandala Villas is the perfect escape for anyone looking for tranquility, comfort, and top-notch hospitality. We will definitely be back!

The location is lovely but seemed a bit remote,it would take 30 min to get to the nearest town. The sea was very rough - there was nowhere to swim but that was slightly expected.

The restaurant really not good at all and expensive. There were other place along the beach that had great food and far more reasonable. The dining really was not up to any standard.

The hotel is just exceptional!! From the very first minutes with welcome drinks to the late nights with cinema in front of the ocean and water-pipe.. All villas are brand new and made with attention to your needs and comfort, all are dry and clean. The food is beyond the expectations, everything is fresh and flavourful, very rare for Sri Lanka.. And they can cook anything you like out of menu which great option for children. Infinite swimming pool with the ocean view, child friendly atmosphere, clean and endless beach! The staff is amazing and friendly, great level of service and prompt response to any notice, they will deliver all your requests.
