Motel 6 Lake George, NY Adirondacks

We enjoy the location quite a bit. Close enoughh to everything while being private .We like that you can sit outside your room and smoke and relax. We also enjoyed the hot tub and pool and very caring staff .The staff are also very fast in solving any issue you may have. Really attentive,it was nice. We will definitely be back to stay!

I didn't like there were no cups in the room to use for water and the toilet was very low to ground.Also the tub wouldn't hold any water,but the shower pressure was amazing :)

Location was good, close to many nearby places.

There was no hot water for shower. Even upon mentioning it to the front office (The owner did come to the room), but even after trying for few minutes, there was no luck and we all ended up taking a quick cold shower.

Very clean. Quiet. Excellent hot water. Friendly professional staff.

Very few outlets. Tough to charge things. One Light bulb was out. One lamp had no outlet so it couldn’t be used. Not even sure why it was in the room. Refrigerator wasn’t cold. Coffee maker didn’t work. Needed a door mat, dirt got tracked in from outside.

Landscaping and hot tub was nice

It was a room used when you have a pet but there were no throw rugs to gather the sand that was brought in so the floor ended up getting nasty. Also, we had a do not disturb sign on the door but the maid opened the door anyway.

Great place, very clean...kids had a blast at the pool and game room. Perfect location.

Would be nice to have a few extras in the kitchen...more kitchen ware, paper towels.

Reminded me of old-school motels, but NOT the seedy type. Very quintessential, clean, roomy, adequately appointed. The room we booked was for four of us. Two queen beds, and one actual twin bed (not cot or pull-out) -- comfy and suited our needs perfectly. Close to all the eateries, shops, sightseeing in and around Lake George. Easy to get to from the NY Interstate 87. Very clean!

Only one thing that would bug me if I stayed for more than two days in a room with three other people -- there are not a lot of outlets conveniently placed. Could also use a small tv in the 'back' bedroom. Also, there isn't any type of breakfast and not super convenient to go grab something before heading out.

I loved how each property dwelling is separate. It makes you feel like you have your own mini cabin. It was very clean and simple. We only stayed one night but the management team was so great by keeping the pool open longer for my teenage girls because they were having so much fun unwinding in the pool/jacuzzi. The management team even came over to welcome us upon our departure. It was a very personal experience.

I would just say the jacuzzi probably needs an upgrade. The jets should hit upper and lower back. It could be a little warmer too in the indoor pool area. Usually you walk into one and it feels like a sauna so that you want to jump in the pool. Getting out of the pool /jacuzzi made you feel cold.

Disappointing Experience – Dishonest and Unprofessional Management I originally booked a 3-night stay at the Mohican Resort Motel in Lake George, NY with my husband. Unfortunately, due to unexpected car trouble, we had to have our vehicle towed back to New Jersey and were only able to stay for 2 nights. I promptly informed a staff member named Keenan, who assured me that if I contacted Booking.com, they would refund the unused third night. I reached out to Booking.com on three separate occasions, but each time I was told that they could not process the refund because no manager from the property was available to approve it. I eventually escalated the issue to a senior supervisor at Booking.com, who again attempted to contact the motel. This time, they spoke with a woman who was shockingly rude and unprofessional. She falsely claimed that I had received a complimentary room upgrade and a free late checkout. To clarify: the upgrade was offered only after we complained that our original room reeked of cigarette smoke. We were forced to stay in that room the first night, despite the odor, because it was late and we didn’t want to inconvenience anyone. The room upgrade was not a courtesy—it was damage control. As for the late checkout, we were charged $35 for it; it was not free as claimed. As an attorney, I find these deceptive and dishonest business practices unacceptable. I am deeply disappointed with how this situation was handled and the property’s complete lack of accountability. I intend to report this matter to the Better Business Bureau, the Consumer Protection Bureau, and the Attorney General’s office. I strongly urge others to avoid this establishment.
