Motel 6 Lake George, NY Adirondacks

We really enjoyed that this motel was pet friendly. We were able to bring our dog with us for an additional fee. The resort had an indoor and outdoor pool, a little gym area and a few arcade games. Towards the back of the resort they had cornhole boards, a fireplace seating area, a basketball court and even a volleyball net set up. If you have kids, there's plenty for them to do. They even had a convenient station with doggy bags and garbage so you could pick up after your pet. The room was spacious for a great price.

We had a room with a king bed and queen bed. The springs in the mattress of the queen bed were shot. Every time you moved, the bed made noise. Not to mention it was very uncomfortable. We didn't sleep in the king because it was on the second floor and we felt more comfortable sleeping on the first. Some of the staff at the front desk acted like they didn't know what they were doing but, the ones who did were great. The room was also a little noisy being next to a main highway. You get what you pay for and these minor things wouldn't turn me away for the great price.

The property was properly situated in a beautiful location. Access to all.

Gym could open earlier as some people like to work out early morning and get their day going. 9am is a little too late for that

Big property and close to lake George

. Upon walking in our room it did not seem sanitary as there was hair on the white pillows and a dead Beatles on the floor. I stayed in a dog room #40 I believe . I did not use the pools so I cannot comment on that . I brought my own sheets with me for personal use. The room had three beds in it. We did not use the room in the back with the two beds. On the last night in the morning when I turned on the light in the last room I seen a bug go running under the sheet. Sure enough it was a bed bug. Thankfully it was close to check out time so we left immediately and packed. I sent over photos to owners and initially they stated they did not find anything. I left it on the bed dead. They did apologize and offer a two free night stay with them but with much consideration I could not even think of staying there again. I had to drive straight back to New York and drop everything at the laundry mat to not risk bringing anything into my house. I spent a decent amount of money to stay here over 1,000 for 3 days.
